La Tolteca

Drinks are expensive but good. Food middling price and good. (I think El Zócalo's tastes better, but their menu is more limited, no alcohol, totally different atmosphere.) La Tolteca definitely puts on the best Mexican fiesta in Wilkes-Barre - regularly has live music or a DJ, and lots of fun. Weather permitting, sit outside to skip most of the wait and be in the middle of the action.

One of the best places to get Mexican food in the area. They have a mariachi band and interesting decor. I recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice.

Great food and drinks for good prices! Would recommend for getting together with friends, taking out the whole family, or for a date night.

The fried chicken chimichangas are magnifico! Always go there for lunch time. Can be in and out there in 15 minutes if need be which is a delight if your on a tight schedule.

Authentic Mexican! The food and drinks are amazing. However, I only gave 4 stars because the service is slow all the time. It is because they are so packed all the time but In that case, you need to hire more staff to compensate. If you want good Mexican food in Wilkes-Barre. Go!
