I had a good experience there. The emergency room was empty and the nurses and doctor saw me within 15 minutes. Overall I would recommend for all your ailments to go to La ronge hospital. Side note: there's a couple cases of fish hooks bc of people fish hooking themselves.
Usual wait time to be seen in the emergency room is about 3 hours. Reception is always friendly, nurses are stuck-up, and doctors take forever to be in.nIn 2018, I came in after my water broke and had labor pains at 3am and was the only one in emergency, it was so embarassing sitting there in pain while random people who werent even waiting to be seen walking in and out of the bathroom. It took a while to be seen, just to be put in a room to wait some more for the doctor to see me, then finally given a room with a bed to go give birth on. 2024, and it's still like this.
I've live her for 8 years. I have so many complaints, & concerns about this hospital. My daughter was diagnosed with lupis last year, no thanks to La Ronge hospital staff. I had to drive her to saskatoon Christmas eve because she was basically going into liver failure, & the emergency room just kept insisting it was covid. Putting her in isolation every few weeks. No referrals for any outside opinions. Because god forbid nothing else can be wrong woth a perfectly health 17 year old girl, who has been bedridden for 6 weeks. I had to call and doctor friend from my home reserve to have a referral sent out. And with in days my daughter was diagnosed and out of bed. In saskatoon. Because this hospital is where you ring your loved ones to die
Are they in the habit of not giving immediate medical attention and treatment to a pregnant mother that is almost 38 weeks pregnant, whose arms, legs and face is swelling ??? Son and daughter in law are driving to saskatoon to get treatment. Shame on you LaRonge Health Centre !!!
Not the place I'd go if I have another choice,
