Thanks to the recommendation of the pub on the corner where we were sheltering from the rain, we found La Patate D’or a few doors down. Such delicious food in a casual atmosphere. Local, unique, and reasonably priced. Hidden gem!
The food was amazing and I love the vibe there. This is a hidden gem. I’m so happy that I found it, the restaurant is very near the Gare du Palais. Great food, reasonalbe price, highly recommend.
Do not underestimate this restaurant! The owners were friendly, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the food was impressive. I stopped here after getting turned away by long lines and full reservation lists in Old Quebec. It was a last ditch effort to sooth grumbling stomachs.. but it was so delicious! I took a gamble and tried the Cesar salad, and it paid off. The salads, potato sides, and loaded baked potatoes were very well prepared. Everyone I was dining with left full and happy.

My husband, daughter and I had dinner here earlier this week and it was fabulous! The friendly environment was second only to the delicious food. We all enjoyed our meal and hope to return next time we are in the area!
