Things have changed the past few years not sure if management/owners changed but La Michoacana ice cream in general is better ice cream than most places. However, not sure what happened but it's not quite as good as how it was before. Still 4 stars, which is not bad by any means.
Me and my family used to love it, but a couple weeks ago we noticed the corn is not fresh, we saw one of the workers using a frozen bag of corn. Also they don’t let you use the bathroom. How a Michoacana with a lot of profit don’t have a bathroom for customers? For sure, there are better Michoacanas, you can taste the natural and rich flavor the one on Villa Park!
This place is our to go to. They people here are super sweet and patient. The ONLY problem with this location is that they promote their closing times on the weekends to 10pm..which is a lie. They close by 925pm..someone should update the website bc I drove here ALL the way from north Chicago.
This is my go to place when its an special day to treat myself with something sweet. I have received great customer service from Vicky, she usually the person who takes care of us, she is extremely nice and patient.
This place is just ok. I tried the Lime water with Chia and I was disappointed with it. The water wasn’t natural. The water tastes like lime flavored kool aid and it also looks artificial. Also, the chips that they have are also extremely greasy that you can taste the grease. I’m giving this place this rating since I’ve had other items like the corn on the cob and the green juice with all the fruits and vegetables.
Everything here is good except they're employees don't honor their posted hours of business!! It says 10pm not 9pm Update: After calling to ask about their hours of business which they confirmed 10 but being that they never took a lunch they decided to close early. Well hell I'm gonna have to try that out at work and see if it flies by the way peeps the owners name is Marco out of California let's see what he says when I give him a jingle
I can't believe I didn't knew of this place unt now since I have moved to Chicago. A must go place for ice cream, snacks, fruit combinations and so much more to offer. Excellent staff and service. Must try mango options specifically the spicy mango ice lolly.
Came here on three separate occasions weeks and or months apart during the weekend at 9:30pm and they were closed before closing hours.
Why they don't let use the bathroom? It is very ridiculous to visit the store and not let you use the bathroom.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE If I could give it a 0 I would. Ordered dorilocos and the lady forgot to add ingredients to it and was way too spicy. She asked me how much hot sauce I wanted and she still added a lot. Went back to get a refund or a gift card for another time and they wouldn’t give me anything. Said that they weren’t allowed to do either things because it’s in the “rules” asked where the rules were to read through them and couldn’t answer the question… TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE the owner has 5 other stores and can’t afford a refund or gift card???
