Nothing tasted bad, nothing was memorable. Pancakes were under cooked, toasts were cheap supermarket bread. The rest of the food had nothing special, pretty bland and unimaginative. The fresh orange juice was only fresh by temperature, it was clearly bottled, maybe they ran out, we still had to pay the premium price. The waiter seemed moody and barely spoke enough words to take our order and only ever came back for the bill we got quite thirsty. The place was packed and we waited an hour to be seated. Save yourself good money, in the time it took to wait we could have easily gone to buy all the ingredients and cook them, the result would have been 5 times cheaper and considerably better. Parking: easy free parking on site
I am an avid breakfast eater and we found ourselves all the way out here from an hour away and decided to try it. I was not disappointed and loved the little crust they got on the pancake. Was a texture I have never tried before.
Not disappointed. I’m not a big fan of breakfast, but it was a special occasion and we all really enjoyed it.
Had the eggs Benedict and salmon bagel sandwich, forgot to take photos because we were so hungry..but food was delicious! Highly recommend if you are in the the area. By the way, there's no English menu, only in french..Food: 5/5
I went on a first date here and was screened out like a pesky fly. The food was memorable however and made up for the rejection. Everything on my plate had been carefully cooked and presented well. Breakfast can be sloppy and a blend of flavors, but the cook knew his trade apple pancake plate. Prices are reasonable. Staff easy and breezy. This is French territory, I heard not a word of Quebec's 'foreign' tongue. You can adjust accordingly.
Great food and scenery Mount St. Hilaire, a must for breakfast... What stood out was the relaxed energy and friendly staff. Parking is more than adequate. Arrive early. It fills up. The menu is large! Lots of French-inspired sweet and rich menu items like crêpes, but a simple American breaky of eggs and bacon is doable. It's a French arena, so knowing the language helps avoid blank, cold stares.
The food is very good. The restaurant is a little expensive for what you eat.Food: 4/5
Service to the table was a little late, but it was worth to wait a little, loved the « pommes caramélisées »
New to the region I was referred by colleagues to try this place. The menu was very varied, and overall the food was good - nothing exceptional. However, the service was horrible. First, no English menus available. Secondly, our babies spilled a drink and we had to ask staff 4 times before one of them eventually gave us an eye roll and came to mop it up. Being decent human beings we used our table napkins to clean the mess up on our table and when we asked the waitress for extra napkins we got a smirk and a no like it was a crime. Not sure if all this stemmed from my extended family not speaking French , even my best attempts to translate between everyone was futile. Genuinely the first time I've had bad service in a restaurant. Big tip of 0$ well earned. Suggest cultural, diversity and language training for your staff.
Situated in the picturesque Mont Saint-Hilaire. For whatever reason they decided to plate the pancake on top of the bacon, sausage, and hash. The menu is extensive here and all in French. Food-wise what we tried was so-so. Eggs were done perfectly. Bacon overdone. Didn't like the style of hash. Crepe and pancake was good. Fruit was very fresh. The apples were good but not to my personal preference would have liked them to be softer but taste was fine. Coffee was quite weak.
