This review is for the restaurant. It's only positive feature is the central location. Otherwise, it's little more than a tourist trap. Avoid if possible. Food quality so so. Service slow. Menu misleading. The prices do not reflect neither the quality, nor the size of the portion. To get an idea, we ordered one of the most expensive things on the menu, presented as a 5 meal course. One of the "courses" was one cheezy slice of french baguette. The second course was a minuscule portion of runny Seafood Chowder, barely enough to soak the previously mentioned bread slice. The other items are similar, with a single exception We were still hungry before #5, the desert, which was decent.
My family and I just visited the restaurant so can’t comment on the hotel, but I’m afraid to say the restaurant was very over priced for what you get. I could understand if there was an amazing view or there was some premium for the location, but that wasn’t the case. I would also understand if it was well plated, and the meal was served hot, but even that wasn’t the case. I don’t usually leave comments, but I feel this one is necessary. Just more of a buyer beware type situation. Sorry for the poor review, service was friendly and no complaints there, but just seems very over priced for the quality of what you get. My meal at the Chateau Frontenac was the same price, but far better quality.
Spent a hundred, walked out hungry. Food is overpriced and the portions are extremely small. Description misleading too, menu says 1/2 pizza but best I can call it is a quarter. Food quality is ok but serving leaves much to be desired. Food was barely warm. As others say, this place is a tourist trap. Will not come back, will not recommend, will warn to avoid.
Food really tasty! Surf & Turf and the Chicken dish was outstanding. The desserts really good as well. Staff very friendly. Would certainly recommend
I didn't go to the hotel part, but my family and me tried with the food and it was not a nice experience. The place is overpriced for the quantities they offered on the plate. IT WAS ALL SALAD AND NONE PROTEIN, literally we searched under all the salad to see if we find more meat but no. It's a no for us.
We ask for a duck and it cost 27 + tax with a soup, but tha plate has just 20 gr of duck and the rest was salad. It is a stole, they just put salad and not what you ask for. Don't go if you apreciate your money.

Really should be a 3.5 star but bumping it to 4 because the young hostess and the one male serverwas not our server was very helpful. Service was really slow, not sure due to lack of staff or our sever did pay that much attention to us. The food was expensive but I figure that it’s just the area. Main was okay, more on the salty side. Appetizer was a really really small portion trappers tasting to be able to tell how it tastes. Especially the case for the jellys in the dish. Dessert was fantastic, they had a case display that showed all the dessert option they had and the male server really took his time explaining this to us. The male server, young hostess and the dessert was fantastic. The rest not so much. Would try other restaurants in the area next time.
We were looking for a good sea food restaurant in the area and after seeing the reviews for Galouine restaurant we decided to try it. The food was excellent!! Definitely a place to add on your list! I had white fish and lobster tail, my husband the sea food casserole and kids white fish kids plate. Everything tastes amazing! Staff was pleasant and friendly. We got very good service. Thank you for a great dinner at your restaurant!
I want to love this place but unfortunately the owners were really unresponsive upon check in ! They responded to our previous message about our honeymoon before check in so we were excited. But upon Check-in, they didn’t pick up their phone! They told us to call if checking in after 4 pm. We called 2x. We paid already. The entire place was empty. No one was staying there. Maybe they were affected by Covid so they decided not to be present when there’s only one booking. We did not see any instructions. We were there for 1 hour trying to figure it out. The rest of the city was deserted. It was 9 pm by the time we waited..1 hour later and everywhere else was closed. Only the bar was open. We had to take the ferry to Baie Sainte Catherine then drove to to the nearest motel to spend the night it was an awful experience. What is worse is, the owner didn’t own up to their mistake. They blamed us for them missing our calls and refused to refund us
