This restaurant is as good as it gets. When we visit Salem from Southern California we stop here for the best Mexican food in Salem. I grew up here in Salem until I was 19 and then left to serve in the military. I stayed in Southern California after my service. But I come back every year multiple times to visit my parents and family. I’ve had some of the best Mexican Food in Los Angeles and San Diego and Fontana and Santa Ana. And La Fondita is right up there and even surpasses some of those places. Always good customer services, the prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food that is given. Keep up the great work. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the bean and cheese burrito and enchiladas Rojas and champurrado. Great for kids! Parking: Parking lot is big and provides plenty of space
A little hard to find at least at night! this little restaurant is pleasant with good prices. I’ve had better but not in Salem - and I’ve tried several. I had the chicken enchiladas verdes which was tasty and the perfect proportion.
Food is amazing, atmosphere is like you’re at a friend’s house. Great and friendly service. My new favorite place to eat when I’m in Salem, hands down! Do not pass this place over!
This is a BIG burrito - it is an all day burrito that you might want to start eating standing outside of your car, recommend the shredded chicken, yummy and a bit messy!!
After a long drive from Los Angeles, having these enchiladas was soo comforting! Not only that, but my order was ready, warm and the flavor of the molé reminded me of my spots back home. If you’re craving some local Mexican comfort food, come here!
Haven't been here in some time, but coming back was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Food is still amazing. I am all about their mole. It does not look impressive from the outside, but inside is a cozy place where I feel comfortable.
Misjudged this place from the outside. Hole in the wall. Spectacular service. Food is so damn good. Tranquil, with music and TV. Inside and outside seating - full bar. Lady that helped was super nice, and offered me this spicy sauce with my enchiladas - it was to die for!
Comida deliciosa!! Delicious food that's authentically prepared. The enchiladas rojas with shredded chicken and the chicken tostadas are my two favorites; oh, and the chili rellenos are fabulous too!! The restaurant is small and the parking is a bit difficult, but it's well worth the effort.
Great food. Everything was delicious and authentic. Horchata was spot on! I keep craving their carne asada.
Great food. And great customer service. The champurado is delicious. The caldo de pescado and Camaron is full of flavor. And the Mole Verde is kid approved by Summer.
