The food was AMAZING! The atmosphere was like stepping back in time to “old Mexico” and the service… I’m not sure if the waiter was the owner I think he was but he made this experience be over the top. This is now my favorite restaurant in ALL of Mexico!
My boyfriend and I are leaving Mexico for a couple of months and this was the last place we ate at before leaving. I’m so glad this was our final stop. Carlos is very personable and genuine and really made our experience. The place is beautiful as well, and the food was great. It really feels like you’re right at home but with great food and ambience.
Charming house with even more charming hosts. The two of us tried every entree on the menu you can order combo or half portions and felt so content! The host carefully explained what salsa works the best with which dish, when to add lemon, and how to use different tortillas<3 it felt like visiting a friend who really care about cooking!
Very cute place!! I had no idea what to expect when I walked in. The food is sublime, the restaurant had a very nice romantic vibe which threw me off a bit because we went there as a group of guys, the people working there were really attentive and helpful...and it showed that they cared about what they were doing.
If your are foreigner this is the best opportunity to experience the “Real Deal” great set up, authentic flavor and very decent price.

One more time in Guadalajara.... and We must had to visit our “La Fonda de la noche” friends You must need to visit this place... ALL variety of foods are delicious.. But please try the “empanadas combinadas” and their “costra de queso” .... All well accompanied by their famous tropical fruit water. Oscar..... Thank you for your hospitality. Can I give 6 stars? In my mind, one of the few, perfect restaurants I've ever experienced. Staff was loving, food was spectacular, and the restaurant is warm and cozy. I walked out not only have a great meal, but a great experience. If you like “tasty spiciness”, their red mole is the best I’ve had in Mexico. This will be a place I return to every chance I get.
Me and my partner found this gem of a restaurant, we had an incredible meal experience and best of all this was a place that was open late with amazing food! Highly recommended for your next visit to Guadalajara
