Fantastic Mexican restaurant, went early on a Wednesday evening, the food and cocktails were both brilliant. Food came out quickly and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely eat there again.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We aren't huge eaters so couldn't eat all the food but very tasty and authentic. Definitely recommend it as it's only 1 minute from out hotel on the river Ouse I haven't put a picture of us on here but this is a sample of the colourful wall art which added with the food and lively music makes you feel like you have transported back to mexico

Went here last night and it was good. 2 4 1 cocktails, good margaritas The staff were lovely and accommodating. Half star down for running out of San Miguel they still had bottles though and half star down for not enough guacamole but I'm a guacamole fiend :P we couldn't finish our meals so we asked to take the rest away and that was fine. All in all, really good wee place, would come back to try the steaks, they look great!
I visit this restaurant a few times a year and am never ever disappointed with the food. Portion sizes are extremely generous and wait isn't long. One of not many mexican restaurants in York and certainly a great spot. Lots of extra space downstairs for private bookings. Toilets downstairs also and no lift, so not massively accessible, but this is York. Always happy here :
Ignore the bad reviews and go and make your own judgement. Me and my girlfriend had a cracking meal, all the food was delicious and really good portions for the reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a great atmosphere and loads of Mexican hats! What more could you ask for? Wouldn't have to think twice to book again.
Very nice place. Helpful staff. Unfortunately the food took 25 mins to appear! People who arrived after us already were eating. Good portions. Delicious and not too expensive I will be hopefully coming back!!!
Good service but the food took 45 minutes to arrive , people arriving after us, ordering a big plate of chicken got food earlier. Food was OK but the salmon fillet tasted slightly off and the sweetcorn was lukewarm. Altogether, fairly mediocre.
Well.... the food was great however...... when my friend and I ordered our drinks they were not brought to our table. The manager who we think was the manager went to see where our drinks were. He then gave us our drinks after a 20 minute wait. We noticed a table that came after us was given their started before us. We ordered nachos to start, they also forgot these... so brought our mains out, we mentioned that we ordered nachos to start however were not very apologetic that they forgot the nachos and said they would just take it off the bill obviously because we didn’t get them The main nevertheless was tasty. Would not return.
Food on the whole was nice, huge portions and the bbq ribs were amazing. One star lost due to the jerk chicken being tasteless. Another dissapointment was that only one member of staff was attentive, a blonde girl wearing glasses and it took 20 minutes for me and my partner to receive half of our drinks order after having to go to the bar and order ourselves. The lady who took our order didn't listen to what we had said and so had to come back and ask us more questions about our order. cocktails were nice, except for the jug of 'mango collins' which was undrinkably strong. Probably wouldn't return again as although some of the food was lovely, the customer service let it down, especially considering the fact that there were only 6 small tables of diners and at least 5 members of waiting on staff.
