Great atmosphere and clean. Friendly staff. I ordered their famous lobster poutine and was disappointed. Sent it back. French fries were dark and mushy like they had been microwaved left overs. The garlic bread the same. Wish I hadn't waited over 40 minutes to finally get my food only to send it back and ask for my bill
We stopped by for lunch today. The food was genuinely excellent, especially considering the price point. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars really comes down to the service. Both ladies that served us were very nice, but man oh man were they slow! Every step of the way, from getting drinks, to ordering, to getting food to getting the bill, every.single.step.took.ages. Genuinely would recommend if you're not planning anything else, but if you're watching the clock don't risk it.
Our first time here and it was great. The waitress was so friendly. When she sanitized our table, she also sanitized the salt and pepper shakers, which I really appreciated because sometimes it feels like people forgot COVID still exists. The lobster roll was juicy and full of lobster. The La Coast salad was really, really good and fresh. Our drinks were delicious. I was really happy with this place and I feel like it's one of the best places I've been in awhile.
No issue getting a table at 7:30 on a Monday, but there were quite a few people there. Cheaper dishes are available, but we decided to get the La Coast Salad with Shrimp and the Lamb Shank Confit. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the salad. The flavour was good, there was a good variety of ingredients, and there were several chunky shrimp on top. The lamb confit was extremely tender but the wine in the sauce slightly overpowered the taste of the lamb which I was looking forward to. The mashed potatoes were perfectly done and tasty and the veg side was surprisingly good above average, made up of roasted Brussels sprouts, peppers, and broccoli, and nicely seasoned. I found it a bit loud inside for a place with $30 entrees and as someone else mentioned it was a bit bright for an evening meal. Overall very good though.
First off we group of 4 had to wave down a waitress for service on the patio. Went here to enjoy a nice lunch but was told the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes, it was 3:30pm. We were told on hot or slow days it was Saturday the kitchen closes early. We had a beer and left to get food close by. Well after we ate somewhere else we were driving in the area again and passed by to see people eating on the patio!! So either this place is bad to their staff and doesn't provide air conditioning in the kitchen OR they just didn't want to serve us. Either way I don't think I'll be back.
A mixed experience... Ordered the seafood casserole. 3 good size scallops, shrimp, and 1 measly tip of a lobster claw! This in the lobster capital of the world? Also had their mussels with a delicious cream broth. We ordered extra garlic toast which turned out to be a limp unappealing piece of generic bread. I make better garlic toast at home :-
So damn delicious! The lady that served us was fabulous and they had some great beer on tap. The food was quite slow but worth the wait. I definitely recommend casserole au fruits definitely mur.
Excellent atmosphere, service and the food was amazing. Thank youFood: 5/5
Nice restaurant nestled in the heart of Shediac. The menu has a little bit of everything from seafood, steaks, pastas to your good ol' burger. The service was great and so was the food! Meat is from a local farm which makes it even better. If you are in our little town, stop by and enjoy La Coast
Very slow customer service, it took us around an hour to get the food and it was the wrong order. I wouldn't come again if I came back to town. The server seemed new but still very sweet. However, the food was still really good and I enjoyed it.
