We are open for business from Easter until the last weekend in Oct.We are open for buisness 7 days a week including civic holidays serving cones from our take out window during Covid.Our ice cream shop offers fresh, homemade ice cream created on sight, in our kitchen. It's this hands-on approach that gives La Cigale the ability to produce our unique recipes such as Ginger Snap & Chai, Raspberry Champagne Sorbet, Coconut Cashew and Brownies & Cream.Sit in one of our colorful Adirondack chairs in our garden or stroll through some of the trails in the park across the street.."

Definitely one of our favourite spots for ice cream! They have amazing flavours , the ambiance, the seating area, all the flowers around you.. and now they have toys for kids to be entertained! As if ice cream was not enough!
Loved there ice cream. We got there Banana Split. It comes with 3 scoops so we selected Raspberry Champagne, Ruk & Raisin, Chocolate Orange. All were great flavors. Played ludo as well while eating. Good place for a hangout after your Gatineau park trip.
Ice Cream - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambiance - 5/5 Price - Mid Ranged Ordered a large sundae with 3 scoops : Chocolate truffle, Butterscotch toffee and Mango with drizzle of chocolate sauce. The ice cream was amazing, and their patio at the back is amazing even on a hot sunny day! Overall, it's worth a visit!
Delicious, delicious and delicious! Choose raspberry champagne, lemon cheese cake, birthday cake and a Sunday. They were all above and beyond. Ended paying 22 $ for all of these. Went and will go again and again. Play area for the kids. And a beautiful seating outside.
The line is extremely long, which must be the norm because there's even a sign for how far back the line should start. All the same, the staff managed it very efficiently. I tried the cappuccino and salted caramel regular bowl and both flavours were excellent. Really loved how the coffee flavour came through. Finding parking requires patience and luck.
Best icecream I had in ottawa and Gatineau region. They have lots of flavours. The waffle was really good that I got just the waffle again. The place is really beautiful. They have huge parking area. The outdoor seating is so peaceful and calming. There are small places for kids to play too outside the shop.
Great gelato place in Gatineau Park! It is a bit pricey though worth it. They have a bunch of different flavors that are available as scoops, sundaes and milkshakes. There was one dairy free chocolate option when we went. We tried the Pistachio milkshake which was rich and creamy! Great place to go after hiking to cool off. They have great patio areas as well, one close to the shop and one further to the back.
We came to la Cigale after a hike nearby - there was no line at 11am on a Saturday. They have over 20 flavours, a handful of vegan options & sorbet. Upgrade to a waffle cone, it's worth it! Apple pie is one of my favourites, there's pie crust and cinnamon throughout!
Vanilla and chocolate were great, wouldn’t recommend pumpkin pie but that might just be me. It’s pretty hard to choose the flavours though since there are so many and you can’t look at them but i assume this is temporary because of “current world events”. Getting 3 scoops with the 2 regular cones can be risky, it’s a bit small for 3 scoops. The rest of my family also enjoyed it. There’s parking right next to the shop which is convenient.
Nestled in a beautiful garden with friendly staff and an amazing selection of flavors. We tried the regular sized waffle cones with scoops of cappuccino and chocolate/mocha/almond and key lime pie and ginger snaps/ chai. The portions were huge. My husband couldn't get through his second scoop and I had trouble finishing mine. Flavors were intense and true to the description. Just the right amount of sweetness. Will definitely go back but maybe get a single scoop.
