Very good tomato salad with burrata cheese, wood oven pizza and awesome desert!
My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Bar Harbor Regency. We particularly were pleased and impressed by the excellent service provided by the restaurant staff most importantly Leticia. She was pleasant, efficient, and professional.
Amazing view. That's it. Nothing for vegans / vegetarians which is worth eating here. Overpriced breakfasts. Service is so slow that you will waste at least two hours which you could have spent at the Acadia National park.
The grounds were beautiful and seating area has an amazing view. BUT…the service is HORRIBLE! I noticed when we sat down that there was a serious conversation with a family a couple of tables over from where we were seated…the server possibly manager was apologizing to the table and explaining that whatever happened was unacceptable. Things happen, so I thought maybe someone had a bad night. We sat there for close to 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. We were a table of 4 that came in@8:45pm closing time listed for the restaurant was 10pm for an appetizer and dessert..2 other tables were seated while we waited for someone to at least say hi. When the other table had drinks and appetizers served, I went to find someone who ended up being our server “who didn’t see us”; although 1 of the 2 tables next to us was HER table. She took our drink and appetizer order, never brought us water, so empty water glasses remained on our table during the entire horrible experience. The coffee drink I ordered was cold…COLD. No, it was not an iced coffee. I, again hunted her down, and asked if my drink should be cold. She went to the bartender who told her due to the liquor in the coffee it would be cold. ‍ Our appetizer was decent and we ordered desserts which were good. No one received a refill on drinks so by the time we were halfway finished with dessert…no one had drinks…AGAIN, I have to flag down the waitress to ask for refills, which at that time I also asked for the check. She brought the check I immediately paid and DO NOT recommend this place. Total waste of $90.82 for 2 ok appetizers and 4 desserts and horrible service.
I was surprised by the quick and friendly service and food quality of our breakfast and dinner meals. I had omelet for breakfast and the fish and chips for dinner. All four in our party were satisfied with the food including a variety of appetizers.
Party of 10z Very poor service - 2 consecutive days - we aren’t stingy tippers but the waiters here pushed our patience ! Food and beverages is known to be delayed here so we were patient especially as it is the holiday weekend The attitude of the waiters is terrible - second evening in a row. The morning breakfast was a good experience - dinner however leaves much to be desired. Bringing the wrong order on drinks and not knowing what was served, bringing the mains ahead of the appetisers, being rude about the bitterness / saltiness of a certain dish. We just felt he was rude over all. The three stars are for the views and the reasonable vegetarian options - we wish we had tried the other franchise of this restaurant on Main Street. Would not want to repeat this.
Delicious food! Atmosphere wasn’t giving Italian restaurant and the service was kind of slow. Overall, good place to eat.
Weekend breakfast service is quick and friendly however weekday breakfast service is terrible. It's been over 25 minutes since we ordered eggs and pancakes and over half the tables are empty. Only reason we're still waiting is because it's part of our package
Great view and location. Drinks very good. Service was very slow and food was average.
If you are looking for good, or at least decent, Italian food, do not go here. The chicken piccata was incredibly salty, not edible. The lobster bisque was okay, but not worth the price. The Caesar salad was small and underwhelming for $10. Parmesan was not freshly sliced. The pizza dough is not hand-thrown or made on site. It comes prepackaged, cold then dressed with toppings. Like all places, the restaurant is understaffed, so expect to wait, but that wasn’t an issue. The host likes to seat people who are middle-aged and upper-middle class in the ocean view seats, regardless of order of arrival. Younger, and without polos or tennis bracelets are seated in the high bench/bar area. Bring a jacket, it is very cold. Small draft selection.
