La Baraque à Frites

Crispy seasoned chicken thighs! Made hot and fresh in this small dinner looking place. Their sweet BBQ sauce is very unique and goes well with the chicken and fries. Very affordable and nice staff :

A hidden gem in the city! The food was amazing and the service was great! The fried chicken was very juicy, tender and crispy. The burger was juicy, as well, while lettuce and tomatoes were really fresh and crunchy! We loved it very much! Servers were really kind and patient as they explained everything to us in English. With a comfy and chill ambience, it would make an unforgettable and remarkable experience. They could get really busy sometimes so be patient, it’s 200% worth it ;

The only fry chicken worth mentioning in town. I tried the chicken and the poutine last night. While the exterior look might stop you, don't. The look is deceiving. This is a small joint with a quick and passionate team that deliver the best fried chicken in Québec city. Moist and very crunchy, texture feel like a panko mix. The sauce is a smoky ultra sweet genre, very close to the one we use to get at Swiss Chalet or some Ontario Mcdo. The poutine was very good. One of the owner worked last night and suggested marinade onion to complete the experience and you must absolutely add them. The sauce is thinner then the usual poutine sauce but clearly more flavourful. Cheese was use sparingly and the fry could be crisper. Next time I will try the hamburger but for the moment I am happy that chicken is back in town. I could easily see them serve chicken and Waffle and that would be someone dank!

Delicious food and great beers on tap + the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Quebec City!

Chicken was crispy and delicious but didn’t like the dipping bbq sauce that much

Ordered chicken and fries. Fries were dry, like stale day old or morning batch... Bad luck? Chicken was not bad, cooked well, good crust... just ok. Nothing to write home about.

The chicken and fries are amazing. The homemade Mesquite BBQ and Buffalo sauces were delicious. Owner and staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend you give this new restaurant a try!
