Food was ok. Vietnamese cuisine and the menu was in Vietnamese I think it was difficult to read the names but the description was in English so I just ordered what I recognized. the waitress explained what’s in the rolls. Ladies were attentive. Food came quick. My Pad Thai dish was very comparable to Thai express but the shrimps were little bigger and more expensive. Spring rolls were delicious and the sauce was tasty. The view was lovely. Hint: phone reception was spotted because it’s close to the lake
Excellent first time experience, truly authentic quality Vietnamese food. We had a large party of 20, so we called ahead and they were able to reserve two tables for us. Not all restaurants are willing to attend large groups Services were great, even though we had a large group the food came out very quickly, everything made to order, freshly made, and delicious. With the view to the water the atmosphere is wonderful. We won’t hesitate to visit again when we are in the area again.
Title of review: Great First Impression!!! First time visiting and I plan to return! Thank you for accommodating our group of 8 for lunch, and for placing us in a great spot, view of Lake Ontario is great!! We had our work team Christmas lunch there. Server was VERY helpful, made great recommendations, billed us the way we asked and was friendly and fast. Appetizers all came out quickly, they were beautiful and all were very tasty! Our mains were also quick and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Atmosphere was nice, nicely decorated for Christmas, some ambient music would have been nice, but not a big deal. Thank you for having us, we will be back!!!
Absolutely amazing location and views! Food is great, always very fresh tasting and flavourful. Service is great and always prompt. We waited a little while longer than usual once and that was not unnoticed, as our server was very apologetic and brought us spring rolls on the house, without us saying anything! It’s small gestures like that, that keep customers coming back. Much appreciated. Can’t wait until the patio is open again for the season!
Beautiful fairly new restaurant looking out into Lake Ontario. Dine in or on the patio. Loved my food so much I get the same thing every time. Others liked theirs as well but felt a few items were pretty skimpy on their plates.
Lovely spot on the lake with great Vietnamese/Thai food. They have a nice outdoor patio and indoor dining. I tried the pad Thai and sweet and sour chicken with rice. Everything was delicious and fresh, they have an extensive menu offering various appetizers, soups, pho, vermicelli and fried rice options. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly.
When I came here it was quite busy. It took a lot of time to get seated despite there being seats open or receive my food on their outdoor patio… which is objectively beautiful. I ordered their shaking beef forget the Vietnamese name for it which might be their most expensive dish. I’ve made it at home and it is a beautifully seasoned dish of high quality beef seasoned with garlic, served with watercress, rice and a dipping sauce. You don’t normally see it on menus so I was excited to see their take. What I got was a dish which was very saucy and sweet, and the beef chewy. It tasted a lot like standard American style Chinese food. Still tasty but different. It had no watercress and was instead served instead with peppers and onions. I would be fine with that - dishes can vary based on the chef - but someone behind me was complaining that their dish “beef and Chinese broccoli” was served with regular broccoli. I checked the menu and verified my dish was advertised as having watercress - this is a more speciality ingredient with a distinctive peppery taste, hard to get out of season. By that time I had eaten my meal. Service was so slow I just wanted to get out of there so did not complain. I left with the impression that this restaurant thinks it’s okay to make substitutions in speciality ingredients without advising customers, replacing with things that drastically change the dish and are cheaper. This would be a dishonest and an unacceptable practice. I might come back for the patio, but would expect slow service and only order French fries.
I love this place! The restaurant has a great view of Lake Ontario. It’s amazing just sitting there watching the water while you have your meal. My favourites are the grilled beef Pho, the grilled chicken vermicelli and the fresh rolls. The food is always fresh and so tasty. The portions are very generous. Mmmmmmmmm! The location is lovely, excellent views. The patio wraps around and is very spacious. The food arrived quickly and hot. There are a lot of menu options and the portions were good. The service was friendly without hovering.
Best Pho and spring rolls I ever had! We loved how the spring rolls were packed with vegetables and a thin crispy outside. The Pad Thai seemed a bit oily but still great flavour. One time the tapioca pearls in our bubble tea were very tough compared to the first time we ordered it. The service is still fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful, so we will keep coming back. We came twice in one month because we were already craving it and brought people along too! This will be our new favorite place and it's right off the highway!
