My mom, Nan, aunt and myself stayed at the  L’Ancrage in one of the barn houses end of August early September 2023 and had an incredible experience! The barn house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and cottage-y, very clean and stocked with all of the necessary items you would need! The owners and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate their guests to ensure everyone’s comfort and enjoyment of their time spent there. The property was so peaceful and beautiful as well, truly a perfect spot to relax with friends and loved ones. There are patios and porches overlooking the beautiful scenery to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a drink after a day of adventure. I cannot rave enough about the owners and staff for their impeccable hospitality, we arrived as strangers and left as friends. There is no doubt about how much love and care Kores, Liane and all their staff pour into everything they do. Hidden gem of St. Louis de Kent! This was our wedding venue nHosts are wonderful and accommodating, the location is absolutely beautiful, decor is lovely and the rooms are clean and well-stocked, perfect for us newlyweds. We had an open bar and catering and they easily surpassed our expectations. Happily recommend!

I had an incredible springtime stay at Liane and Kores’ L’Ancrage BNB! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The location, right on the river, provided breathtaking views that truly exceeded my expectations. Driving down the hill, I couldn’t believe how magnificent the scenery was—I was immediately captivated.nnThe overall theme of the BNB, “nautical,” was charming and thoughtfully executed. The brand new dining area, with its panoramic views of the river, was a highlight. It was stocked with board games and books, adding to the cozy atmosphere.nnMy room was a cozy retreat, impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed. The European-style bed, with two single beds pushed together under one duvet, was very comfortable. The decor was tasteful, in keeping with the nautical theme of the BNB. It was a peaceful haven after a day of exploring the stunning surroundingsnnBreakfast was a feast fit for a queen! I was treated to a two-tier tray of fresh fruit, cheese, yogurt, pancakes, a boiled egg a BNB staple, meat, bread, three different types of jams, tea or coffee, and orange juice.nnI only wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy everything this spot has to offer. I would love to return in the summer to make use of their huge fire pit and boat tours. I highly recommend Liane and Kores’ BNB and would love to visit again in the future. Additionally, I recommend booking directly with the BNB and not through AirBnB because the cost ended up being higher.

Great place to stay with great hosts! Rooms, barn houses, and cottages are very clean, tidy, and up to date. The hosts will help you with anything you need. They have a different take on breakfast$ then your traditional Canadian breakfast which I found amazing. There are also kayaks that are free to use as well.

My husband and I had such a lovely experience staying at L’ancrage. When we arrived we were greeted by the two adorable black and white cats they have on the grounds and we took a moment to admire the beautiful view of the river. Upon check in we were given a short tour of the restaurant and room we were staying in by the incredibly friendly and welcoming owner. We came downstairs for dinner and ate fresh scallops, salmon, and tuna and had a few glasses of wine each from their ample wine list. The service was excellent for dinner we were checked on frequently and received our food quickly. The rooms were spacious but still cozy, and spotless. Linens, bed, and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was the cherry on top. So much food we couldn’t finish it all and such a wide selection brought straight to the table and prepared in front of us. We will absolutely be going out of our way to stay here again. 10/10.
