We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at L'Espace Canal, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we started planning, our coordinator Dietrich took care of every detail with such professionalism and care.nnThe venue itself is stunning, with its charming ambiance and beautiful views of the canal providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish, the food and service was exceptional.nnOverall, L'Ambroisie et L'Espace Canal exceeded all our expectations, and we are so grateful to Dietrich and the entire team for making our wedding day so memorable. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a perfect place to tie the knot.
Love the onion soup, good steak and good duck. Service was on point and the atmosphere is just lovely.nnUpdate:nQuaint reception hall, and beautiful space for an outdoor ceremony.
Very nice and cozy place. I went there for a company event, we had a terrasse at the back where we were all hanging out and the bar inside. The staff was friendly and the place looks good and clean
We had our wedding at L'Espace Canal this past weekend and I am so glad that we chose this venue! First, L'Espace canal is absolutely beautiful. Second, our venue coordinator Alexandra and the L'Ambroisie/L'Espace Canal chefs and staff were fantastic throughout the entire engagement/planning process. The venue worked closely with us to customize a Southern Food buffet station to reflect my Georgia USA roots. They were open to suggested recipe changes, and the food turned out great - our guests were raving! Alexandra did an amazing job setting up the decorations and coordinating the arrival of other vendors. I did not have to worry about a thing on my wedding day - everything was beautiful and set up exactly to my specifications. During the wedding, the staff and bartenders were very professional and attentive to both us as bride and groom, as well as our guests. Our wedding was at L'Espace Canal was an absolute dream. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The pluses: I don’t think you can find a better spot in downtown Montreal with those prices. The venue is beautiful, I loved the arch, they’re very turnkey and espace canal is super pretty and can really look great with minimal effort. Alex was great to work with and hustled during the wedding to make sure everything was great. The menu was adapted for vegetarians and vegans and food was delicious. The bartenders were super sweet as well as were all the waiters.nnThe minuses: we had issues with our first coordinator which caused quite a lot of stress, there was issues with figuring out who would take over, the communication can mostly only be done by email not phone really and you have to be very very proactive in order to make sure everything is organized. But if you are organized and will write them and follow up a lot, everything should go smoothly.nnSummary: I think it’s definitely a steal for a spot in the city, if you like a more urban vibe. I really enjoyed my night tremendously. The planning was a bit rough around the edges but I think it makes sense with the pricing.nnIf you like my flowers it was Aux Fleurs Folies and my photographer was Arianne Gagnon Nantel :
