Wonderful place for sushi buffet! Food is always fresh, delicious and they come around with green tea! It's absolutely lovey! They also catered to my shellfish allergy when I told them and the server made sure I ordered mine first so there wouldn't be any cross contamination! Only 4 stars for atmosphere because it isn't as decorated as say the mandarin is. But I'm not there for ambiance, but rather great affordable sushi experience! Love the iPad, haven't been there since thr paper menus! Thank you!
Avoid this place at all costs. This waitress was extremely RUDE! From the get go we told her about the allergies meanwhile she kept mixing the orders and she kept throwing the dishes at the dish container. She gave us a hard time with the shrimp allergy and also, she gave us a difficult time for the rice left over from us eating sushi. Rice naturlly falls and breaks when eating it onto the dish. This was a ridiculous thing to say to anyone. I eat sushi 2-3 times a week and I’ve NEVER came across a service this low and disrespectful. The food is ok if you want to use delivery services where you don’t have to be disrespected! There is good sushi in many other places, don’t settle for treatment such as this and wish I read reviews earlier as it seems the service is nonexistent in this place. Don’t compromise - the food isn’t THAT good.
The waiters don't like to make much conversation or smile lol but, they are all very efficient and relatively quick even when it's busy. The food we had was great no complaints you'll definitely enjoy it here.
Excellent sushi avocado and cucumber wraps and delicious dishes. The sweet potato rolls are amazing and the rice in the dishes is just the right amount of sticky and a firm texture. They are very accommodating to children and happy to help provide all the eating tools that they made need. It can get very busy in the restaurant so do make sure to have a little more time available for the service to be a little slower. All the orders are taken by yourself using a tablet which is a great way to establish a favorite dish. Vegetarian options: Lots, mango sushi and veg fried rice just ask for no egg! Many more dishes to choose from wlthat are vegan friendly.
We regularly get take out from this place. They always get our order right. Good quality sushi. Love the cash discount. Heads up the sushi comes with a surprisingly large amount of rice! Get sashimi instead if you’re going there for the all you can eat. Save your stomach for the good stuff.
Kyotos is an all you care to eat japanese restaurant. You place your order via an iPad. Yes, there are pictures if you are unfamiliar with some of the dishes. Having lived in Japan, these are not authentic Japanese dishes but for the most part they are tasty and filling. Sashimi is only available on the dinner menu. Rolls are good with a fair amount of choice. Stir-fries tend to all taste the same. The cost is approximately $15 lunch and $25 dinner and it includes green tea and dessert if you want them. The quality of the food is good for the price. The staff is unfriendly and not helpful so go in knowing the service is not good. Even when there is only 2 tables occupied the staff stands around on their phones. It is a busy place on Saturday nights from 6pm onwards. Update 2022. Prices are up now at $36 for dinner on the weekend but the service is MUCH much much better than it used to be. The food is good. Not excellent but tasty and filling. It has become very casual, sweats and ball caps kind of casual so it does not work for a special date night but rather a casual friday night sushi with friends. Definitely a better experience than in the past few years. Being closed for covid has clearly given them time to fix their service issues.
Wonderful 1st visit. We got the “All You Can Eat Sushi” and were not disappointed by the quality of the various items we ordered. We got a little thrown off by ordering, for example, 4 salmon sashimis and only getting 3, but having the AYCE, it could just be reordered since it wasn’t a case of running out. Really attentive wait staff too. And really fun to order on the provided tablet. Will be going back
Over priced and not good quality, we ordered take out and while a couple of the rolls were decent, others were inedible. They over filled some rolls with a crunchy filler and put practically no fish in them and it felt like we were eating sand. The miso soup is flavourless, and the fish itself tastes like low quality fish. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking to have a sushi night.
If I could give it zero I would, after years of giving this place second chances I’m finally done, the sushi is mediocre and WAY overpriced $40?! and have had food poisoning one too many times. The staff is incredibly rude and will not honour the 30% discount for using cash. They also keep customers change for tips without permission from the customer. If you want to spend your evening crapping your brains out, go here!
TERRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE. Honestly their food is subpar and way overpriced. My friends even got food poisoning from them. If you do go though don’t pay cash, because they won’t give you your change or offer the 30% discount they advertise. Any other sushi place will be better than this one, don’t waste your time and money!!!
