Horrible jalebi! It tastes like its fried in used oil. Full of colour and totally stale! Paid $11 for a pound! Worst decision ever to give this place another dry! What a wastage! One star because couldn’t give any less
We were travelling and we just popped in and asked for some help, The owner were super nice and treated us some signature curry for free. The butter chicken curry was perfect. The spinach and cheese curry was totally new to me, I tried it and I loved it. The dessert was authentic too. The shop owner was super nice, he recommended some good places for me and friends. I will definitely go there again.
I wish I can put five more stars. First the owners are fantastic, and you will be treated like part of the family, i wasn't treated like a customer. because they show care about my food allergy and being vegetarian. The food tastes amazing, and lot of sweets to choose. the service was 10 stars and the price was soooo cheap that i had to add $10 for the tip because i never imagined that it will be so cheap. and the food was 10 stars too. Here you will feel like your home with a family and eat an amazing lunch with them.
I am 8 months pregnant and was craving for Jalebi and what I found is Kuku’s have the best jalebi in Victoria BC. I also try Samosa chaat which is again a mouth watering their also I have awesome curries. The owner is lovely and friendly their give us time to see the menu and try their delicious curry of chicken and mutton and even vegetables one. I really appreciate their hospitality. 5/5 I am really going to try again their food and sweets.
The staff are very friendly and inviting ,the food is amazing and they have a very yummy sweet selection.I was super impressed.
Unfortunately this was probably in the top 3 worst Indian food I've ever eaten and we eat Indian food all over the country and Internationally. The butter sauce which was the basic sauce for two of the dishes - butter chicken and vegetable kofta, tasted like Campbell's tomato soup with chili powder added to it. The chicken pieces were tough and old tasting. The vegetable korma was literally brown instead of the usual fresh vegetables in curry. The aloo gobi was a similar brown mush!. Both dishes were obviously old and reheated many times. The chilli prawns were very tough. The vegetable birjani rice dish was literally rice mixed with frozen mixed vegetables. The Naan was something like Costco Naan, buttered and heated. It was NOT baked in a Tandoor oven which results in a crisp, charred exterior. Very, very disappointed.
Tasty East Indian cuisine. I arrange for take out order on its website but you could call in, and the food is usually ready for pick up in 15-20min. Recommend goat/ lamb biryanis, chana masala, naan, and veggie samosa. Limited number of seating and parking spaces. There’re temporary parking spaces by the curb right in front of the building. Staff are very friendly.
We ordered for a large staff appreciation lunch and the team at Kuku's was extremely accommodating and helpful. Our team loved the food and commented on how yummy it was. Thank you !
I bought 2 samosas and they were the best I've ever had! Perfectly crispy and with the chutney sauce to dip, was the best, Highley recommend
The Samosas are great. The Mithais are not that good. Be sure to eat a sample and take. They are stale sometimes.
