Kountry Bar

Came in for lunch about 1130 today. Very busy, but service was still timely. Very friendly staff. Bacon cheese burger was excellent- a nice char while still juicy, bacon was not skimpy, bun was great. Every staff member I saw was pleasant and friendly including the owner, who would take a lap every 10 minutes or so.

Kountry Bar is a local spot that offers pretty good specials for Taco Tuesdays and Hamburger Thursdays. The inexpensive $1.50 - $2.00 tacos or $5.50 Burritos or Chimichangas amongst other choices makes this a great place to eat and talk to friends. There is an outdoor area complete with horse shoes for those who prefer a little more activity or to just sit outside while enjoying their cocktails, domestic or craft beers. The burritos and chimichangas we ordered were very generous in size and definitely filled us up. Hamburger Thursdays offer $2.00 burgers I seem to recall and were quite good as well. These inexpensive meals allow everyone to get some decent food without disrupting your drinks budget. I rated this bar 4 stars only because I normally have to order my drinks and food from the bar and to do so I have to find a spot between other customers to do so. A server will bring the food to each numbered table though. None of this keeps me from going back though and it should not keep business away either. The staff is pleasant and do their best to accommodate everyone.

You just have to love the combination of good food, low prices, and good looking bartenders. Update: It had been a year since I was here and decided to come for lunch with my son. The front parking lot had plenty of space, so I was surprised when there were few seats left available at the bar. With some hesitation, I selected one of numerous clean empty tables and sat down, anticipating a lack of service. As I was taking off my coat, Christina approached us to inquire if we needed menus. This was a pleasant surprise, but must be the norm when she is working. She continually checked on us, even spotting my near empty soda while still behind the bar. Impressive. Another employee even checked in on my son's near empty water glass to bring him a refill - on water - without being asked. I have been to fancier places without having service that could surpass what we experienced today. Bravo Christina and Kountry Bar!

Great food. Service very slow due to shortage of help.

We only been there on and off for a about a year. There fishfry's are AWESOME!! Had there pizza tonight. By far the best pizza we have had in many years!!! And the service rocks!!

Stopped in for a few drinks and a burger on a Friday afternoon. 2 or was it 3 bartenders on staff but felt like I couldn't get service. The cook was the most friendly employee greeting me both when I arrived and when I left. Seems like a fun bar but my experience was less than stellar.

If you stop here for lunch, you better be hungry. The Po boy was so stuffed with shrimp, 2 fell out when I picked it up, and I couldn't find where I could put them back in
