I had an excellent experience at Kootenay Centre Cinemas last night! The theatre was clean, comfortable, and the atmosphere was perfect for a night out. What really stood out, though, was the amazing customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly.nnA special shoutout to Mike, the manager, who was exceptionally kind and professional. It’s rare to see that level of genuine care and customer service these days, and it truly made my visit memorable.nnIf you’re in Castlegar and looking for a great place to enjoy a movie, I highly recommend Kootenay Centre Cinemas. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I love this place. It's doubtful that anyone goes here more than me. Going to movies has been a thing my whole life since I saw the first Star Wars in the back of our car at the drive-in as a three-year-old. It's August 9th, and I've already seen 46 movies there so far this year.nnIn 2022, the Kootenay Centre Cinemas put in all-new seating. Real sweet recliners in the back half of the theatres, with comfy seats that kind of rock in the front half. I see all the new staff come and go. They're always nice and welcoming. It also isn't as expensive as so many places that I have seen movies in theatres all over Canada and the USA. It isn't overwhelmingly busy either, so when you put it all together, it's a really great place to see a movie.
My daughter and I loved your theatre. Great seats. A great experience. Big city comfort with a small town feeling.
Staff here are always pretty friendly. For a small city, it's a good sized cinema with lots of choices on any given day. New renovations have added recliners to the theatres and an updated snack bar.nEveryday has low prices now, cheaper than the theatre in Trail and with multiple screens.nTickets can be purchased on line with pre seat selection, or at the concession counter.nGreat place, going to the movies is back on the list of date-night activities again!!
The outside doesn't do this place justice. The seats were amazing, leather reclining seats for no extra charge! The screen was big and clear, the audio was loud and full, the staff were friendly and welcoming and yes, of course, snacks are expensive but what do you expect?! And, in fairness, the tickets themselves are very reasonably priced.
