Kootenai River Brewing Co

Nice place on the river. Clean. But wow! Service needs major improvement. Our server forgot 2 things on our order. Though we asked for them it took a long time to get what we ordered causing our food to get cold. Good food but as I wrote needs major help with their service.

I live pretty close to Portland Oregon and Bend Oregon some of the microbrew capitals of the world recently stopped in at Kootenai River Brewing. Wow am I impressed! Didn't have a chance to try the food but it smelled and look wonderful as it was leaving the kitchen which I was seated nearby. The beer is fantastic and I will definitely be stopping in to Wet My Whistle on my way through town again. Great looking bar too and friendly ladies working behind the bar. Great job to all the staff and owner.

If I could give no star I would. This was our second time eating there, 1st with some of our children. Service sucked, they forgot half our food, my child's food was raw. The cooks excuse was because they were under stress because of the larger group of people that came in and they were sorry. Waitress told me they didnt have Mt Dew when it was clearly on the menu and they serve Pepsi products. We were rushed throughout the entire meal and definitely not a priority on their list for services. Maybe consider hiring another cook/chef to ease the stress from than one.

So impressed by this brewery and restaurant. We visit lots of breweries as we travel, and this one ranks among the best of the best. Every beer we sampled was good and the food was super yummy, good quality and quantity for the price. We were travelling with our dog and they accommodated friendly dogs out on the upper patio. The waitstaff was attentive but also gave us plenty of time to make our selections. I really like the Huckleberry Wheat beer (got a mini growler to go!). The Mr liked so many of them, but the Scottish was probably his favorite. For food he had the special of the day, the 'Merica Burger a special for 4th of July (take a look at my pics) and I had the pulled pork sandwich. We both really liked the food and left stuffed! I only wish this brewery were closer to where we live.... we would visit all the time!

Stopped here for lunch on my great cross-country trip. The town is so cute. The beer and food were great. I had potato nachos -- never knew that was a thing, but they were BOSS! They let me keep a coaster as a souvenir. Right on the river and right downtown. Good stop!
