Kooben Cafe - Frostings Cupcakery

Lovely coffee shop and bakery located in downtown Langley. Their space has minimalistic, natural vibe. It's spacious for strollers. They have couches for a loungy vibe and a table for a "high tea" vibe. They have a variety of choices for coffee and tea and their cupcakes are amazing with adventurous flavours. Definitely a place you can go with friends and colleagues.

Thank you Ricardo and team for the unicorn cupcakes! They not only looked amazing, but taste so too! My daughter LOVED them, and I’ve already been asked by a couple parents about them!

Great price for a quick snack! Sandwiches ranges from 7.50 - 8.50. I paid $7.50 and got a ham and cheese sandwich. Presentation was excellent. I was particularly impressed that they had alfalfa sprouts. Some would have liked there to be more cheese or ham. But, for 7.50, you can’t complain. Please excuse the photo of the nearly eaten sandwich. I almost finished it before I realized I wanted to do a review.

This place is super cute on the inside. Outside needs a little love but it's quiet and well lit and I'll definitely be back. Love that they are a part of community events too like Fork & Finger. You get the sense they really believe in the heart of small business community. One more star when the outside gets that clean up. *Add on: I was referring to the awning outside. Could be wrong but thought that was the businesses responsibility. I do hear you about landlords though. That can be tricky.

I have regularly gone to Kooben Cafe approx. once per week for the past two years. Today I was in the area and desperately needed to use the washroom, so I stopped in to quickly go. The washroom was locked and the employee said that I wasn't able to use the washroom as I wasn't a customer. After explaining that I was a regular customer and that I just really needed to use the washroom she stated that I must buy something or wouldn't be allowed to have the key. I quickly bought a cookie that I didn't want. I hope the 3$ that I spent was worth it. Absolutely horrible customer service and an awful way to treat someone who regularly spends money in your cafe. I will not be coming back and would recommend others to do the same. Edited to add: the owner was also present and did not speak up or recognize that a reputable customer just really needed to use the washroom.

We have now been to Frosting Cupcake And Bake Shop twice. Both times the service was outstanding. The owners and staff are friendly and outgoing. The first visit we had cupcakes and a cappuccino. The cupcakes were delicious and the coffee, the best cappuccino I've had in quit some time. We had to order out as there was no option to dine in. Today we stopped by to have another cupcake and cappuccino but to our surprise there were more baked goods to choose from. We did have more cupcakes but also tried the blueberry scones and a cheese scone. We ate at the bakery as the seating was open. Again the baking and cappuccino were amazing! All the baked goods are made fresh daily and the service is fantastic. They also serve sandwiches with freshly baked sourdough bread. Highly recommend Frosting's to anyone who wants to treat themselves to some fresh baked goods and a coffee.

Such a hidden Gem, took my father today for lunch while my mother was having her haircut at Skye across the way. Very clean, nice atmosphere and we look forward to another visit.

The Philly Cheese steak sandwich was good, it comes with some chips.. the chocolate cupcake was not too sweet, just the right amount of sugar in there.. Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of food choices that kids will love.

Ordered a Vegan Birthday Cake and Cupcakes. The icing was a bit too sweet but other than that, the cake was very good and everyone enjoyed it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
