This was such a wonderful experience. The food was perfectly balanced and prepared with an option to spice it up individually. This is the best real food that I've had in a long time. Care and skill was apparent in everything we ate and drank. The staff were kind, helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the top shelf items in the bar as well. We will definitely come again when we are in Wellington. Thank you all for exceeding our expectations.
A small jem not far from sandbanks. We stopped by without a reservation, on our way back home and got an amazing service. The drink was surprising, and the food was great. We tried almost everything on the menu and the chicken wings were amazing! We ordered two more because it was really good!!
First time going to Koenji Whiskey Bar. It's a cute place with good vibes. Our server was great and recommended us with the type of Sake to drink. We ordered a light of 5 sakes 1 Oz each. Spicy tofu and veggie gyozas were our favorites. We wish they have sushi . That would have bern perfect .
Amazing food and cocktails. Pretty much everything on the menu can be made vegan, and we indulged! Every item was different from the next and so tasty. The vibe inside was super cool and makes a great date night or evening with friends. Would highly recommend
Service was great. They have a small patio in the front and lots of seating inside. Highlights were the fried spicy tofu, vegetarian gyoza and the chicken wings. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of were the noodles but that could have been due to personal preference. We didn’t have room For dessert but it looked great. Overall I would highly recommend this place.
Lovely dinner, tapas style, on a hot evening. Our original destination could not accommodate our group but we were redirected to this sister restaurant. We found even with the limited window two children, and three adults could find many delicious taste adventures. We even found most options were available as gluten-free which was greatly inclusive and appreciated. Will come again for one of the six glass whisky flights!
Cute little Japanese restaurant in PEC. if you have craving for Asian food then this is the place to go but it’s not authentic Japanese food. The service and waitress were good and it offers a decent whiskey selection
This place was a hidden gem. Went on a recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. Food was amazing. Would recommend the wings, spicy tofu and the saboa noodles. The cocktails were well made. Everyone in our group was sharing food and drinks because we wanted to try everything
One of the best spots in Wellington for food, drinks, and vibe. Everything I’ve ordered at Koenji has been delicious and the service is friendly, helpful, and unpretentious. Good place for a date romantic or friend and open later than all the other spots in town. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed my time at Koenjy Whisky Bar. I started with a white beer and had 2 different whiskies, and price for whisky was reasonable. The fried cheese was interesting. There were a lot of interesting food items that I would like to try if ever I am back in Wellington.
