I never would have thought Hood River would have great sushi, color me surprised. The sunshine roll and sweet potato tempura roll are my new favorites! Not to mention the garlic edamame. So good we came here two nights in a row and plan on hitting it for lunch on the way out of town. I guarantee I'll be making the 45 minute drive from Gresham so my husband can eat here too. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping here if you have the chance.

This was a great experience,  the menu offers many choices. Going to Kobe Sushi was one of the best events of my holiday. Staff was courteous and pleasant,  it seemed like they were a good team. SO many delicious choices, take your time enjoy a beverage and let your pallette tell you the rest. Prices seemed reasonable to me, parking is good, outdoor dining and  a friendly staff. I definitely will return, there are other locations also !

Such an appealing place, inside and out. My family were intrigued by this restaurant just as we were passing by at Hood River, and decided to have our "linner" here. Fortunately, we came at a non-busy time and didn't need a reservation for our party of six, which is the typical rule for the place during busier hours. The inside was very clean and quite classy, with a good view outside of the river.  Our food came pretty quickly, and everything that we ordered tasted wonderful and fresh. The calamari appetizers were so tender and crunchy at the same time, well-cooked. They have pretty good unagi and udon soup, that I would also recommend.  Service was excellent! Our waitress was super friendly and checked up on us a lot, making sure to bring us anything we asked for or needed. My dad even made a huge mess of spilling soup on the floor, and the staff were still very kind to us regardless of all of that. It's a bit out of the way from where I live or regularly visit, but if I ever come back to the area, I'd definitely want to eat here or any of the other Kobe locations.

The food at Kobe Hood River is 5 star on everything.  Just close your eyes and point at the menu and you will be happy.  It's all great.   Unfortunately, the rest of the experience is 2 to 3 star.  Our table was sticky.  The server didn't know if they had any wine available they do.  But the white wine was room temperature, not chilled.  The service was super slow 20 minutes to be greeted.   I would get takeout any time, and frequently because the food is so great.   However, it might be a while before I go back for in-person meals.  Hoping they get the service and cleanliness up to snuff in the meantime.

My favorite sushi restaurant for the value. Staff seats you quickly, if not, they take reservations unlike some business's in Hood River, and the food comes out in a very reasonable amount of time for the quality. Consistent flavor and lots of opportunities on their menu.  Parking: Lots of parking, I&#39;ve never had an issue.

I have been driving past this restaurant for years and whenever I do I always think I should stop by some time. I finally got around to it today and am very glad I did. My wife, son, and I stopped by at about 2pm on a Sunday. It looked like about three out of every four seats was filled. Pretty busy. Yet we waited only about five to ten minutes before being seated. Our waitress, while plainly very busy, was nonetheless helpful and attentive. I had four selections from their sushi/sashimi list and they were all excellent. Very fresh fish that was of a very good quality. The bluefin tuna practically melted in my mouth. My wife had the chicken katsu. Also very good. Crispy with tender chicken. My son had the shrimp fried rice which he enjoyed and tasted excellent when I tried some. We also ordered drinks and a couple of desserts. I experienced a bit of sticker shock when I got the bill. About a hundred for three entrees, three beverages, and two desserts. However, as good as the food was I ended up paying it without any hesitation. I dont mind paying a bit more for high quality fare.   The tip was calculated into the total. I dont plan on coming back terribly often but for the occasional, perhaps once a year, splurge I think its safe to say we will be back eventually.

They tried to charge over  on every item. Glad I looked at the receipt before paying. When asking why prices don't match the menu we were told " Oh those aren't updated," refused to price match thier own menu. Had to ask for the Manger! And they still tried to get away with over charging.  Worst customer service. Even waiting to order more food took forever.  Sad experience. Food was good.

Came to eat with my family and got the best service. I loved the food and the people. Great place to enjoy some sushi here in Hood River. Definitely coming back!
