This was a cute spot to camp at. All the sites seemed very wooded and flat. It seemed like majority of the sites were easily accessible. We had a pull through site with full hook up, which was very convenient. As for the playground there was a metal slide and swings. Our son didn’t really use it but he enjoyed walking around the campground. They also had a pool, we did not use this because it was cold. Super easy drive into town maybe about 5mins and close to local waterfalls. The staff was super friendly & helpful.
Nice campground for visiting pictured rocks .Staff is friendly Sites are hit or miss. The sites when you pull in are horrible just a spot in the lawn and no shade. Sites around the pool area are better, shaded, a little tight but not too bad and the sites in the back of the campground looked liked the nicest ones. You get a fair amount of road noise but its tolerable. The pool is a good size and is clean. There is a nice play area by the pool that is great for kids. If you have kids I would recommend getting a site around this area as the sites back right up to it.
Pretty much a standard KOA. Not too far from pictured rocks so handy whether hiking the trail or doing some kayaking to them. Maybe its just me but when I go to a campground I like to sit at my table, have a campfire, just walk around and check out interesting things about the campground. Think I've decided that KOA is generally for families. Most, but not all, have pools which sometimes are great but usually full of children. This place was just impossible to sit outside your camper and get any peace. Literally had to turn our fan or ac on the whole time since they put us next to the pool. It was just children screaming very loudly from 8am to 9pm. Had zero interest in having a fire or eating outside. The only saving grace was most other campers weren't full timers, so were friendly to part time occupants. Does have decent showers but the people using them are pigs. One guy next to me proceeded to empty his sinuses all over repeatedly while taking his shower. Not the campgrounds fault, just gross people everywhere. So to summarize, this place is fine for families but adults without children should avoid KOAs and find a nice state park campground. That's where I'll be going from now on.
We were greeted warmly upon arriving, and the staff members were friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean and in great shape. Our camping cabin was cozy and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit!
Nice campground. Buddy sites are setup a little odd with the hookups. Depending on which direction you're facing you may need an extension cord, and a long sewer and water hose. Otherwise sites were level and nice and shaded.
Don't stay here if you want to "camp". The campsites are so close together that the picnic table benches from one site are 2 1/2 feet from the next site's table. And the fire rings are less than 2 feet from the table and only 10 feet from the next ring. No space to move anything around. I measured them all. Some amenities like wifi and cable but the price is not worth them.
We were left stranded without a place to stay when Hipcamp canceled our reservation just hours before arrival. Thankfully KOA made room for us and the young man working Oct 8th 2022 was so kind and welcoming. I was so impressed with the hospitality and the campground felt like home. I definitely recommend staying here for your next trip. The whole place was clean and quiet.
This campground is so shady and quiet... It's lovely for sleeping in! The staff is very friendly and helpful. And it's close to everything we wanted to do in the area. Thanks for a great stay!
We spent the weekend in 1 of the cabins, very cozy and clean! Great campground and great owners and the rest of the stuff AA++! We will definitely be back! Thank you for the great time that your camp!
We stayed here in a 40 foot 5th wheel. By far the WORST KOA experience we have ever had! First off we did the online check in and was told someone would meet us when we arrive. That didn't happen no big deal i figured theybwere busy. I walk inside and the person checking us in was hanging shirts and looking out the window at our arrival. Again no big deal just observations. After check in at most KOAs someone takes us to our site. Not here...but again no big deal I can read a map. Here is where the big deals start happening. First off they site they put us in was very SNUG and tough to get in and out. After talking with several neighbors 2 5th wheels and a class A we found out they had an extremely hard time getting in as they were told the incorrect way to enter the site. One couple actually jack-knifed their 5th wheel did damage to both truck and camper because they came in the wrong way! The supposed wi-fi did not work the whole time we were here! I even had the front office come reset the router twice and still no luck. We asked other campers to make sure it wasn't our equipment and they had the same problem . There were also "sites" up front that were so close the awnings almost touched the camper beside them! One couple just arriving wanted to move ASAP and would up leaving. This is not the KOA experience that we are used to and will NOT be back nor would we recommend this place!
