My rating of this course is mixed. I think the rolling hills that this course is built on are awesome and The layout course is very nice. There are some neat/interesting holes like the 8th and 18th holes. The green of the 17th was fantastic!! On the downside, the course needs to be better maintained. Tee blocks need to be re-sodded. Greens were shaggy and slow but it is the end of November so I’ll let that slide. Other Constructive criticism: add bunkers to this course. I don’t think that I saw one. Clear out some of the trees on approach to the 3rd green and on the approach to the 5th green. Way too tight. The top courses that I have played in Ontario are far more open that these 2 holes. If some of these things are addressed then this course could be fantastic!!
I recently had my wedding at the new course, Harris Hall and it was absolutely amazing. I can't even put into words how organized and smooth everything went with all the staff at Knollwood. Not to mention the GM, Steve who clearly loves his job! He was there the night before to ensure everything was how I wanted it and everything was Okay. He was the one that actually set up everything the night before and he would let me peek to make sure everything was okay whenever I wanted the night before of course haha! : The food was absolutely amazing! everyone is still talking about how amazing the food and the service was. The day of coordinators were so amazing too! they made sure everything was going smoothly and did everything for myself and my husband! I honestly didn't want the day to end because it as soooooo amazing. The DJ we used was DJ close thats with Knollwood and OMG he was amazing also! he was so easy to work with and did an amazing job Djing! I will for sure he going back to Knollwood for sure and I will forever recommend Knollwood to alllll my friends and family! THNAK YOU KNOLLWOOD! I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL! <3
One of the worst golf experience of 2022. Let a 4 some off ahead of us that had a tee time booked after us, then proceeded to pair us with a single. No cart person driving around AT ALL for 18 holes , greens are in terrible shape for an early summer round. No tee box blocks to indicate where to tee off and the pace of play was terrible took almost 5 hours to play 18. Don't waste your money.
Nice course and we'll groomed. Was excited to golf here for the first time. Waiting 10 to 20 plus minutes behind large groups was frustrating. Eventually left course out of frustration. 3 groups of golfers jammed up waiting to play. Where was the Marshall? After leaving and filing a concern with club house, zero compensation or apology given. Expensive day of golf, not thrilled there was no acknowledgment of this frustration.
Pure course, brand new carts. An overall great golfing experience.
A great course with many challenging obstacles including many water traps. Not a single sandpit in sight! The course itself isn't for beginners however as the par settings are more designated for intermediate players compared to knollwood's old course. Otherwise the challenge was acceptable and enjoyable with great long holes for par 5's.
Tee boxes need a bit of work and yardage markers would be handy but great value for the course. Beauty day out.
Great course. First time playing there, worth the money. I gave it a 2 star for the following reasons : 1. No cart person to serve drinks on a hot day like today 35 degrees... 2. The restaurant wasn't open either to serve food.... pre-made sandwiches were available but it was unknown as to when they were made. Tee boxes,.Fairways and greens were in excellent condition... Coming back next week!!
Excellent condition of the course. The absence of bunkers is made up awesomely by the undulating fairways. Well cut fast greens. We had a bit of rain during the round, but that did not really have an effect on the speeds. Awesome and welcoming staff. Very well done the whole team. If I could I would give it 6 out of five.
Amazing golf course and Amazing staff. The greens are absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. The grass in general is well taken care of. I will definitely be returning along with my group and friends and family. I will be recommending this course to everyone.
