First time at this location. I ordered scrambled eggs with a pumpernickel bagel. A small bit of salad was added to the plate for decoration. The eggs, I know, eggs are eggs, were cooked perfectly. They were light, fluffy and not over cooked. The bagel was huge. Pumpernickel can be tricky but these were a little sweet and not dried out. Service was very quick and friendly. This is more of a take out place but they do have a few tables at the back. Dress lightly if you are going there in the summer. It is was rather warm. We ate and left.
Nice place with a cool menu. Big choice of Bagels and toppings. I got the everything twist with cream cheese and they suggested tomatoes and cucumbers. Tasted great! a was a good sized portion. I will definitely return soon for something more adventurous. A good choice for something close to St Clair station and close to the ravine entrance.
I really enjoy their breakfast bagels but the customer service is very very poor. They ladies that work at the front do not give you a warm greeting, every question you ask is answered with an attitude this is from the short lady that works at the front and they are not very kind and courteous. I simply asked if my bagel could be cut in half and I was rudely told "We always cut our bagels here." How am I supposed to know that and why the attitude to a simple request? The only person that has been consistently warm and nice in terms of customer is the guy that cooks the food. The ladies that work at the front need to be trained in customer service because they do not have it. So yes, I like the bagels but I do not like poor customer service so I will not go back. I will take my money elsewhere.
Got a godfather bagel turkey, pesto, tomato, onions, cucumbers from here on a sesame bagel. The bagel was perfect! Perfect doughy, perfectly toasted, all around a solid bagel. The sandwich was a little dry for my liking but still quite tasty. To be fair, it’s not the most popular sandwich on their menu so I’ll definitely want to come back and try one of the more popular ones but a pretty good first impression so far!
Don’t judge a book by its cover…. That’s exactly what kiva is on Yonge/St. Clair. I didn’t even know it existed as it’s not really advertised. I enjoyed a really good pumpernickel sesame seed bagel with avocado and the works. Coffee was also pretty good. Service was very pleasant. Definitely good value for money.
My boyfriend and I were on our way to What A Bagel but we stumbled upon this gem instead. We both looked at each other with curiosity and just walked in immediately with no hesitation. We were welcomed instantly but overwhelmed with the menu as there were soooo many yummy options! We decided to dine in but still had trouble deciding, went back to the front and right away, the owner gave us a sample of sesame bagel with cream cheese and tuna - holy #%*@ Amazing, amazing, amazing. We loved the personal connection and welcoming from the entire staff. Great people, great food! Thanks for the nice dessert too!
A hidden gem for a quick lunch/bite. Pea soup taste heavenly. Very cozy can sit down or take out. Down to earth Service very friendly. This going to be my new lunch place.
Visited Wednesday morning right before 8am and since it wasn't busy, service was quick! The smoked salmon and avocado club was delicious.
Went out of my way to go here only to receive extremely rude service. Love Kivas but might want to review employees you have working for you. Any question I asked was met with a response full of attitude. Employees were very dismissive, and seemed annoyed when interacting with customers, ignoring me half of the time I spoke… terrible customer experience.
Amazing bagels, LATKAS, and jelly hannukah donuts. Lovely people. Fantastic service.
