Worst experience in Emergency Department every time as the doctor arrives late especially at night shifts and even after the patient has arrived the doctor is still not there for more than half n hour . The nurses are still working hard to provide the comfort to the patient but are bound to give the medical management. It's the patient who suffers every time due to the delay of the doctors and the whole healthcare organisation has to face the blame.
Every interaction I’ve had with this hospital has been so positive the staff are wonderful from the girls behind the front desk to nurses and doctors I feel all my concerns were listened to and handled wonderfully it’s very clean and bright the surgery staff was friendly and helped reduce stress prior to surgery, staff was very attentive from the moment I entered till when I leftnThank you to the wonderful team at Kitimat general hospital
They are in diversion mode due to lack of doctors. That on Feb 24. We had to go to the hospital in Terrace. Shame for Kitimat. Such a beautiful and modern hospital without personnel to service people’s town
Went in with severe abdominal pain and nausea on Friday night. Asked for an abdominal xray and they declined and said nothing would show up on the xray. 2 weeks of being in and out with the same presentation and unable to eat or drink without severe pain they finally to an xray. Turns out I was so constipated my intestinal tract was completely backed up. If they had taken the xray the first night I would not have spent the last 2 weeks being poked and filled with medication.nnNurses are great with bed sife manner and very easy to talk to but I didn't need to suffer for so long.
Recently I had to under go foot surgery, ugly injury but this isn't why I am writing this.nNow,I don't know if I was a good patient or not, but I would like to say thisnWhat an awesome team from beginning to end. I almost enjoyed myself, and I'm sure you understand what I mean. Professional,friendly,clean , just friggin so happy I went there. Surgeons work looks really well done. A week out,a no antibiotics and no infection.nI would like to say to DrVan de Merwe , and the surgical team, thank you so much for,first of,taking me on as a patient, they had twelve trauma patient surgeries redirected from going to Vancouver, back to them. Wow,! Finished their week with myself,trauma surgery, screws adjustments,in my right foot, as well as three other patients, on that same friday.nCongrats guys, I do understand t what procedures entale and what you went thru, that week. A job all around, is a five uotta five. I'm super satisfied .nCheryl bulleid
