We came here for a meal, and it was a massive hit with my son. The absolute highlight of the experience was the robotic tray that brings the food right to your table! It’s such a fun, high-tech touch that definitely makes this spot worth a visit if you have children.nnAs for the food, it was standard—nothing extraordinary, but perfectly fine for a casual family meal:nnRamen: The noodles were excellent—nice, thick, and fresh definitely not the instant kind. The cha siu pork was decent, though sliced a bit on the thinner side.nnKids Meal: It came served on an adorable Pikachu plate, which made my son's day!nThe service here was fantastic—the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is clearly designed with families in mind.nnIf you’re looking for a kid-friendly spot with a fun gimmick and great hospitality, this is it!
It's my regular stop whenever I’m in the neighbourhood. I’m still happy to give this place 5 stars overall, with 4 stars for food and service. Most of the time their dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. The lunch special I had — sushi, salad, ramen, assorted tempura and spinach with black sesame dressing — was well balanced, artistic, and an amazing value at $19!!nnThat said, quality control can be inconsistent. On one visit, the pork in the ramen had an off smell and was quite dry, which made it hard to swallow. I hope they tighten this up, because when they’re on point, the experience is truly great and I’d love to enjoy every visit just as much.
We loved the robotic server which brought our food to the table and they provided complimentary deep fried ice cream for a dessert which was a surprise. The decor is warm and welcoming with wait staff who provide genuine good service and checked in on us as frequently as we needed.nnThe menu is not cheap, but the quality and presentation of the food makes it worth it.nnLots of options to choose from; sushi, Sashimi, Bento boxes, ramen, in-house special rolls and more. Each dish came out at the correct temperature, good serving portions and presented with care.nnWe will definitely come back again.
Been here twice as of this review. Party of 6, we were seated quickly. We had to share menus, and while water came quickly, tea was a bit slow.nnFood quality is excellent. We had a variety of dishes, and they all were very well prepared, with a definite artisan flair. Taste was beyond expectations.nnService was... adequate. One of our group had to wait longer to get their order while the rest of us had already been served. We had to remind the server about refills. There was no follow-up to see how the food was tasting.nnWe had a rather large bill, and they did bring thoughtful tiny complimentary desserts, but only for 3 of the 4 kids at the table. A bit disappointing that they leave out one.nnThe restaurant itself is adorned in modern decor, with privacy partitioning for larger tables. The layout is well done, giving an open atmosphere overall.nnWould recommend, and will most likely return again.
Kisso has become our family’s go‑to spot in Port Coquitlam. We usually come with a group of about 16 people, and they always set us up in the corner booths, which works perfectly for a large party. I always feel a bit bad because we’re loud and there are so many of us, but the staff handle it with so much patience and kindness.nnThe Japanese‑speaking staff are especially wonderful — warm, polite, and always attentive. The food is consistently fresh, the portions are great, and the atmosphere feels welcoming every single time. It’s rare to find a restaurant that treats big groups this well, and we appreciate them so much.
