Been here twice as of this review. Party of 6, we were seated quickly. We had to share menus, and while water came quickly, tea was a bit slow.nnFood quality is excellent. We had a variety of dishes, and they all were very well prepared, with a definite artisan flair. Taste was beyond expectations.nnService was... adequate. One of our group had to wait longer to get their order while the rest of us had already been served. We had to remind the server about refills. There was no follow-up to see how the food was tasting.nnWe had a rather large bill, and they did bring thoughtful tiny complimentary desserts, but only for 3 of the 4 kids at the table. A bit disappointing that they leave out one.nnThe restaurant itself is adorned in modern decor, with privacy partitioning for larger tables. The layout is well done, giving an open atmosphere overall.nnWould recommend, and will most likely return again.
Really enjoy this place. You can get great ramen and sushi at the same time. And sometimes Kiki the robot delivers it. :
My husband and I frequented Kisso for several years pre and post Covid and pre-Kiki as it was our favourite spot for quality sushi, with unique menu items, and the ambience was lovely atmosphere. We still feel the quality of the food is exceptional. Unfortunately, we don't fall into the category of Kiki robot lovers serving our food. The last visit we waited 10 minutes for the server to take our order, while Kiki served the tea and the server was doing something else only 2 other seated tables. The music from Kiki totally distracted from the atmospheric background music and was a distraction. When we go out, we are seeking a personal service and connection and we do not get that from a robot serving us. I guess we are old school, because if I am going to pay the higher prices associated with the menu, I expect the service to be comparable.nAlthough we love the food and storey behind Kisso, due to Kiki the robot server, that totally changes the atmosphere and our experience, we will not be returning, sadly.nHowever, I do appreciate the fun factor for children so I highly recommend Kisso for families and people who do not mind being served by a robot!!
**Rating: 4.5/5**nnWe discovered this restaurant by chance after a stop at Costco for gas and groceries, and it didn’t disappoint! The excellent reviews drew us in for a late lunch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I ordered the miso ramen, which had a generous portion and was a fantastic deal. However, the beef tataki, while decent, could have been fresher and a bit more substantial for $17.nnOne standout for me was the Japanese black lager—it was hands down one of the best beers I’ve ever tasted. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, it truly elevated the meal.nnThe service was exceptional, with friendly staff and quick, efficient table service. A fun bonus, especially for families, is the robot that delivers food to your table—kids were absolutely thrilled! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
We recently celebrated Father's Day with a lunch at Kisso Sushi, a spot that has become a bit of a favorite for us. This time, there were six of us, and I had wisely booked in advance, which turned out to be a smart move as the restaurant was nearly full.nnThis was my third visit to Kisso Sushi, with my previous visits being just my wife and I. This time, we were seated at the booked bench seats, which were comfortable and offered a good view of the restaurant’s charming blend of traditional Japanese ambiance and modern design touches..nnOne of the standout features of Kisso Sushi is their use of technology. Each table is equipped with a tablet, making the ordering process incredibly convenient. Whether you need to place an order or request service, it can all be done through the tablet.nnAfter placing our orders, we had the unique experience of having our dishes delivered by a robotic server. It was quite a novelty and added a fun element to our meal. As for the food, it did not disappoint. The dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous.nnIn summary, Kisso Sushi provided us with a delightful dining experience for Father's Day. The combination of tasty food, substantial portions, and efficient service, all set in a beautifully designed space, ensures we'll be back for more. Highly recommended!
