I was only here briefly because my friend wanted to show me how spectacular this park is and to check the water temperature. Which was not freezing at the end of June but not warm either - - average for Alberta lakes- a wet suit would be a good idea There are so many activities for kids and families: trails for walks and biking, gravely sand for beach volleyball, disc golf baskets, swings, play structures, horseshoe games, and the best lake for all the water activities: water skiing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding and sitting with your feet in the water. Lots of camp spots to reserve through the Alberta parks reservation system and lots of parking for day use. No shortage of grills for cooking your food. Will be back!
Beautiful park and very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with a few campers who figure the rules don't apply to them. As in keeping their dogs on leashes. Staff came and took care of it right away. The showers are not 5 star, but for $1 or 2 you get a decent amount of time to get cleaned up. There are 3 pay washers and dryers, $2 to wash $1 for the dryer. It's to bad that there are so many disrespectful people who think that the rules don't apply to them and that leaving the washers and dryers dirty for the next person is ok. Not leashing their dogs and behaving badly and making a mess in the showers is ok. Have some respect for the camper's that are trying to enjoy the campground and that it's not all about you.
A nice campground with options to be either in the trees or out in the open. Area is clean and beside a large body of water so is great for water sports or just spending time on the small beach area. Short hiking area nearby and is also a conservation area for birds. Lots of wildlife.
Beautiful park!!! I was there off season and the colours of the trees were beautiful. I especially love the Russian olives,. Which I now understand after some research are a bit of an invasive species..oh dear
A very nice park. Well laid out walking distance to all amenities. Beach is great, did some kayaking, hiking. Many birds and wildlife. Deer came to our campsite. Only negative was enforcement of noise. Campers partying well past midnight. Difficult if you have to drive the next day. Otherwise highly recommend.
What a wonderful beach on a large lake! Even when busy, there is plenty of space for parking and on the beach itself. It can get a bit stupid with the paddle boards and floating boats constantly coming in and out of the water, and unfortunately they don’t pay attention to swimmers, so definitely keep aware of your surroundings. But a great place to spend a summer day with family and friends!
A good beach and pretty good campground. Limited trees but still nice and has all the amenities.
great beach to have a fun day picnic, but I still see people havin their pets and smoking hukkah on beach.
I advise everyone who wants a camping place, come here, a clean and beautiful lake and a quiet and safe place for all age groups, boating, swimming, volleyball, and everything . Enjoy life here .
Great park, large enough sites to accommodate large RV's. Beautiful lake to boat in, fish if you choose. There's a beach and swimming for everyone. Playgrounds for children. Showers are also available.
