Nice beach, there is a grassy side with a playground, and a more 'wild' side which is less maintained from what it seems. Lots of geese here. The kids love this beach as it has shade, grass, nice sand and shallow water. I had my engagement photos taken here and they turned out lovely :
This park has sadly become worse and worse over the years... the kids call it the GPP goose poop park It has a beautiful sand volleyball area, playground and large trees to enjoy, but the geese have made it impossible to enjoy. The poop problem had gotten so bad that there have been swim advisories. Take a pass until the city figures it out.
Visited the park just down from the public beach. Like most places in BC the mountain and water views are breath taking.

Great if you want a less busy beach to sit at! Beautiful new park area just to the west with huge logs and Adirondack chairs to sit on!
Water is pretty warm. It has some water grass and wood chips, sandy and little rocky beach. Personally, don’t like geese or ducks around lake due to hygiene considerations. No dog, No campfire, No camping.
Nice sandy beach and shallow water for the kids to enjoy. Great public facilities like bathrooms available.
It was a really pretty park and beach area, there was goose poop everywhere on the grass though so be ware.

My favourite park. I love the beach all year around. Nice lake for a good swim.
