Busy library, nice atrium in the middle, with food and coffee options. Cool special collections on the top floor.
Went here to just chill and study, it was amazing! Just saw people doing the exact same thing. It’s quiet, very quiet.nJust a small tip, there are computers but you need a Dalhousie student account to use them. There is only one computer that does not require that, as far as I can see.nnHave a nice day/night!
If you're looking for a quiet space to study without distractions, the fourth or fifth floors are your best bet. This place is also great for meeting up with groups to study. You can book rooms here too. You can print, eat and cry here. There are spaces for each of these activities and more.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! So many places both indoors and out, to curl up and study or hang out with friends or find a great variety of materials of all kinds. FANTASTIC music library of genuine vinyl, easy to check stuff out, excellent reference section..... gotta love it!! Also, little nooks and crannies where you can just be by yourself.
I come study here a lot, especially in the summer when it's quieter although the hours aren't as convenient then. The internet is very fast and there's usually a lot of computers available. Both mac and PC. They have some really friendly people working up front that will help you with whatever you need. It's usually quiet enough to get work done, but sometimes people can get a little rude with their loud conversations. I guess that'll happen anywhere though. The library is next to a food court with a Subway, Second cup etc so you can get your food/caffeine fix easily and then get straight back to work.
