I ordered a teriyaki meal and i got a combo order, when i got home i open the container to find that there is very little meat on the plate, i called back to see if there was an issue and to say that there is barely any meat , to which they replied im sorry ypu feel that way
Ordered delivery and they didn’t give my dressing for my salad and there is soooo much rice. I also paid 13$ for a literal sliver of spicy tuna but thank goodness they didn’t put a normal amount in because it ungodly spicy and I LOVE spicy. Super happy to spend 40$ on a ton of rice and plain lettuce.
Always fantastic food and I love the “hole in the wall” atmosphere when dinning in. I had the curry udon delivered today and it did not disappoint! Simply amazing and comforting on a cold day.
First of all I wanted to say the service was wonderful. They were kind, patient and quick. However, our food was extremely lack luster. We ordered a small miso soup, an order of takoyaki and the steak teriyaki meal. The miso paste in the soup was not combined well, there was chunks of miso paste in it but other then that it was okay, just okay. The takoyaki was soggy, had too much sauce and the octopus inside was extremely chewy. Which is disappointing because I believe this is the only place in ellensburg that serves it. The meal was probably the highlight, there was a few things to note however. The steak had a nice sauce but, it was quiet tough. The rice was delicious, I mixed in my edamame. The salad was disappointing, just Chopped iceberg with a very tart and pungent vinegar sesame oil dressing. The lobby was very dim, with loud, clunking vents, lots of outdated local event posters in the window though.
Delicious food, service was great. Great spot for lunch or dinner
Woof. I mean let's be honest people. I've had better food in a back alley in Bangkok at 2am. And for a fraction of the price. But I still gave them 3 stars. Because that's what they deserve. Average at best. Not trying very hard. Kinda like a back Alley in Bangkok at 2am.
Affordable and tasty! If you go to the New York place you are doing it wrong. You can get tastier food at the same price here. I love this option. They have deals posted at the entrance. Oh and it's set up differently! You order and pay at the window first then you have a seat. For the bento tempura mix, raw tuna, spring rolls w/ miso soup and tea I paid about 16 after tax and my sister paid 14 after tax for the teriyaki bowl and the potstickers.
“If I could give you a 0 I would, but I can’t so I’m giving you a 1” I’m not one to post a review, but this place was notably bad. Like warn your fellow neighbors bad. The sushi was questionable at best. I’m afraid to eat the salmon that came on top of my rolls as it’s soggy and smells strong and the rolls themselves literally fell apart in my hands. The Yakisoba was more like someone mixed spaghetti and soy sauce? I don’t think I can even stomach the rest. I can’t explain how wrong it tasted. Just heed the warning and AVOID the sushi. Save your money and just go elsewhere, seriously.
The curry was a little lacking in vegetables and presentation is not their strong point, but I liked the vibe of the restaurant. If you don't mind "here's your food" service and want a Japanese comfort food fix, then Kiku-chan will fit the bill.
Honestly looks like very low maintenance, and you know when you are looking forward to going out and eating something really good well let’s just say going here pretty much ruined my mood the rest of the day.
