Known as the longest free standing timber frame bridge in Canada. The name tells you the hard work the man placed in for it to be shared and to enjoy. Take a little walk round the two paths and settle down for a drink or bites by the side of the bridge will let you feel the greatness of the area. Recommended place for kids too
This is a very beautiful area that has awesome flowers & plants strategically places around the bridge. I took many photos in that area! They also have clean bathrooms nearby
Nice place for a quick photoshoot. Bridge has information on its history on the side of the interior walls. Marvel at its architectural bridge design. Built in 2001 of all wood, this is truly an impressive bridge.
Enjoyed my weekend with my friend in September 2021. Nice bridge over looking the river. We stopped here to find some geocaches before we stopped for dinner and drinks.
This is a pedestrian bridge. It has information on the inside of it with the construction of the bridge and the bridge's story. It is very pretty and offers a sheltered view of the river below. Cool thing to stop and check out if you are in Golden.
Quite interesting and complex wooden structure. You can't leave Golden without spotting this bridge. Beautiful to look at the kicking horse river, and the mountains. You can walk a short or long trail, or you just take a seat at one of the benches near the river.
We had a bit of time before heading up to Golden Skybridge we went too early - we got tickets for 9am, when they open at 10am so we dropped by. Really interesting bridge.
Beautiful long timber bridge structure. It has two walking/jogging path at both sides. North side has free parking, garden, public washroom & many restaurants.
Interesting story of the construction of the bridge. I can imagine the area is a cool hangout in warmer weather. The walking path is also very nice
In the heart of Golden, B.C. is this gorgeous covered bridge built over Kicking Horse River. This tranquil and friendly town is cozily nestled between the mountain ranges that run North and South of it. The town has plenty of amenities and the locals are very friendly.
