Khao San Road

Khao San Road is one of my all time favourite Thai restaurants in the city. I ordered take out the other day and they prepared my order and called me when it was ready. This might sound a bit cliche but their Phad Thai truly is second to none. It tastes just as good at home as it does during sit down service.

We have ordered takeout from Khao San Road several times and it always hits the spot. Certainly our most favourite and best tasting Thai spot in the city. We never think twice about where to order from if we have a Thai craving.

Enjoyed my experience with my friends we had drinks to celebrate the end of the semester with orders of pad thai. The food authentically reflected Thai flavours and the level of spicy. Long wait time for a table; but that is what is expected on a Friday night in Toronto.

Flavour is good. I like the basil pork more than the khao soi. Khao soi tends to be too sweet when I have more. The tea flavour in their ice tea is nice and strong, except it's a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, im satisfied with the service and the food.

Great place to order take out from if you want to order 1 hour in advance then spend 20 minutes waiting for basic acknowledgement in the foyer at time of pick up. These crucial minutes ensure your food will be cold before it even leaves their door let alone when it enters yours.

This is the only restaurant in the city that has a line up every night of the week even Mondays. Fantastic dishes and great atmosphere. If you don't want to dine in, it travels well for take out. Best thai food in Toronto, hands down! Worth the wait.
