Kettle River Recreation Area

Been camping here since the 80's and, although it's gotten much busier, it's still my favorite in BC. Beautiful sites, clean bathrooms with hot showers, and perfect beaches. We were here 2 weeks before the fire in August, 2015 and this is our first year back since. It was a surreal experience entering the park and seeing the destruction, but the lower sites haven't changed at all. The upper campground saw most of the damage, but there is beautiful new growth happening already. The new flowers have brought in more birds than I have ever seen here.

Great place to float down the river but do NOT go in the evening. I saw a full of soap bubble right before the bridge. It looked like it's coming from the shower to the river straight.

We love camping here! Nice mix of sites, great facilities, nicely treed, floating down the Kettle River, cliff and bridge diving, nice beaches, good fishing, hiking & biking, and the employees are awesome!

So great awesome facilities clean restrooms kettleriver horseshoes around the whole campsite making it great for floating on tubes with some really amazing swimming holes.

Good varied habitat but can get very busy.
