I thought I should share this with people considering a furnace repair company. During our most resent snow storm my son had problems with furnace, a strong smell coming from the furnace. So bad that they had to shut it down because of it causing headaches and the fear of carbon monoxide poisoning. Phoned one company said they would come when the roads where good. 5 days later without heat, they never phoned or showed up. Others over the phone diagnosed cracked heat exchanger, hense a new furnace. Phoned Kent plumbing and heating, came over the next morning and installed a blower motor. $400.00 Later running great and heat in there home, and a young couple thats starting out in life together a couple thousand bucks left in their bank account. Great Job Tim Lake.

He charged me over 300 for a USED toilet, could of gotten a new one for half the price... pick a different plumber!!!! Never mind how much he charged for the rest of the work.

Predatory Plumber! Called Kent plumbing and heating to get a quote on a basic water heater install, basement level. Made the mistake of telling him I had a leaky existing heater. He quoted me $1500 plus taxes. I asked why so much for what I knew to be a $600 small tank, he said "the cost of tanks has really gone up." Ended up doing the job myself for just under $600. It was apparent to me he was trying to take advantage of someone who he thought was in an emergency situation.

We bought a home that was about 10 years old with a furnace installed by Kent Plumbing & Heating. The previous owners didn't take care of their home and lied to us but were desperate to sell due to their ignorance on their own "handy" work ( more like "hazard" work ) and their financial woes. When it came to the furnace troubles, we called who last serviced it about 2 years prior to us. He couldn't fix it but highly recommended a reputable company in Chilliwack. He also told me that Kent Plumbing & Heating would create more headaches. When the new company from Chilliwack came out, he couldn't believe what he saw; the furnace wasn't installed properly at all! The reducers were wrong and several details should have failed final inspection...but I have learned that very few new homes will actually have a "gas guy" come and do the building inspection. If you're building or buying a new home DO YOUR HOMEWORK ... Our home inspection report failed to find fault with this issue as well. Pros: removing a rotten job and getting it right Cons: buying from idiots who hired idiots for furnace installation.
