Really nice trails that are not that long. I could not find the area it said for swimming. It had a nice park with washrooms and picnic benches. No overnight camping. But I saw signs for group camping.
Love the place for hiking and fishing. I accompanied many friends coming here in summer. The trails, the floating wood bridge, the steel bridge and the wetland outlook are the most favorite spots.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
My favorite place to take the kids. Very helpful staff, excellent trails in any season. Story book walk from the public library. Feed the chickadees and nuthatches. So many great public events like Christmas at Ken Reid and the Iluminated Forest.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Great place to hike, not much elevation changes so it's pretty easy. Trails are well marked and nice scenery. Bring some birds seed as the Chickadees will eat out of your hand. The only complaint I would have is the noise from the snowmobiles.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Nice place with lots of trails! They offer a variety of trails throughout forests, fields, and marshes which give a nice change of scenery. I liked the ones through the marshes and areas with views of the water. Overall found the trails to be pretty easy to walk though, lots of boardwalks and the forest path is clear. Paths are also wide at most areas which is very nice. Dropped by on October 11, spotted fall colour leaves here and there. Parking is $4 for the day, both online and pay meter at the front of the park available. Lots of parking areas located throughout the park, with the ones in the centre of the park within easy walking distance to each other. Nice area to walk for all ages! A mix of longer and shorter trails suitable for everyone. Lots of birds which were lovely.
The park has an annoyingly hard to use admission ticket machine but is otherwise a really nice park. We went for the dog run and it did not disappoint. Well maintained with both open grassy areas and mowed trails that our dog loved to run through. Will visit again whenever I pass through the area.
Excellent off leash dog park! With a nice little trail in there too!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lots of nice hiking routes with a really cool boardwalk. One note to keep in mind is that you need to pay for parking at the machine when you enter the park, we didn’t see those them in other parking spots further into the park.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Can't say much about the rest of the park but the dog park was awesome! My girls loved it there as we were in from out of town on vacation. From what I saw the place is gorgeous!
Such a great hike! I especially liked that landscape changes often, you can walk in the dense forest and be in the middle of the field in a minute, beautiful lake views, and, I think, you can swim there in summer. It was also great to see interpretive signage for kids made by local library and dog off leash park at the entrance. Highly recommend to visit!
