Kelly O'bryan's Neighborhood Restaurant

We're from out of town and after checking out several places and their menu's, we decided on Kelly O'Bryan's as they had a little bit of everything and didn't seem outrageously priced. We were immediately greeted as we walked in and sat in a booth. Within minutes our waitress Payden greeted us and asked if we wanted drinks. When she returned with them, I still need a few minutes to decide but when I decided, it was like she knew and she was there. My husband order the beef burger with cheese and fries and I ordered the stuffed mushrooms to start and chicken cheddar bacon burger with caesar salad. We were not disappointed. It was all very delicious and hot when it came to our table. My only criticism would be the dressing, but I like a milder tasting one and this one had a bit more of a zing than I like. But I was quite full as it was from the mushrooms and the burger itself. Payden was constantly on the go but always made sure we were taken care of. She has great energy, a great attitude and made our visit even better. Everyone seemed friendly and above all smiling. It was a really great experience for our first time eating out in a restaurant after 2+ years.

I usually do not like to put less than 4 stars on a restaurant review but I'm cutting 3 stars solely because of the welcoming attitude of the lady and that too on my Birthday and also for the service attitude later. Not sure whether it is the prejudice or profiling or natural "I don't care" instincts of her. I had a good cake cutting in my home and we headed straight to Kelly's to try out it for the first time since we heard about the Birthday offer. We were happy till we entered through the door where the lady with white hair gave a disappointing sigh before getting up to greet us. We both, Me and my Wife, noticed it and felt bad for choosing the location then itself. Luckily we got a guy afterwards to help us with the menu and serving who was really wonderful. The food was not like the initial service but was just really good and tasty. The steak was perfect rare medium and super juicy. I loved the Tuna eventhough my wife wasn't a big fan. My guess it's just for the seafood lovers only. Margarita was supergood and so was the in-house wine. The kick of the wine came only after I reached home though. Coming to the drinks, We certainly enjoyed the service of the guy but it felt like he was running around a lot eventhough we saw that his shift got over right after helping us. We needed help inbetween and were looking for someone who could but it looked like he was really busy. The nearest person standing to us was the girl with the white hair and a white phone. But she was too busy typing on her white phone that she could not look at us. I'm assuming that she's just attending the bar may be but still when we asked for wine and margarita to the guy, we could see that she's still typing on her phone while that poor guy went and got our drinks ready. I wonder what she does there over the phone when customers needs someone's help. A teamwork might help than making one guy running around. Later another girl helped clicking our picture and wished me for my Birthday. Every experience in this restaurant was great except just one person ruining the the single special day of mine with the unwelcoming attitude and lack of attention or help. Even if I want to come back for that wonderful steak, my wife would never let me because of the whole mentioned reasons above. Sorry for being straightforward but I had quite not a good Birthday.

Kelly O 'Bryan's has a well rounded menu ,along with dinner I had a side of Champs potato . Dinner was wonderful we relaxed on the outdoor patio well awaiting our meal . Every time we visit Kamloops, we go to Kelly O's after 9pm. After 9pm they have specials on appetizers. Highly recommend the pachos and the prime rib yorkies, both are amazing, and also the nachos, and chicken lips. Just wish they had more sugar free beverages.

Big thanks to Terrie for the wonderful service. My coffee was always refilled with a nice smile and the food came out fast. I had the butter chicken, it was delicious. Terrie recommended me some places to see while I was passing through Kamloops, spot on recommendations, Sun Peaks was fantastic! I’ll definitely stop in again if I come back this way.

The service was good but the prices are high for what you get. The stuffed mushroom should have stuff inside the mushrooms but what we got was a small plate with the tiniest mushrooms with some cheese on top. It tasted good but I expected a different presentation and a bigger size.

Just had dinner their tonight Sun.15 2023, we have eaten here a few times and the meal was good. To night the Prime Rib tasted like it was left over and reheated in the microwave burgers were cold cheese on the burger wasjust slapped on at the last minute not melted on, the patties were not fresh made, the fried dill pickle skins were so tough you could barley chew them the salad was wilted and gross. The Quesadillas were totally burnt around the edge.The only good thing i can say was the drinks,when you are spending over $200.00 for a meal you expect a whole lot better.

I had company from Alberta and the coast and we wanted to go out for a nice dinner. Kelly O'Brian was not a good choice. The service was terrible! Chocolate milk for children took 20 minutes to come and then it was just quick served in an old fashion glass for $3.50! There were empty tables around and lots of waitresses working but not attending our table! The burger was dry and tasteless, other food was mediocre. I was very disappointed.

Updated 2020: Try the "chicken lips". It's good here. Also Pachos are good, there’s cute sayings all over the walls. Nice renovation. Always go here if I can when I’m passing through.

Been coming to this place for years and I absolutely love it. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great conflict resolution skills when the need arise's. If I could rate higher then 5 I would. Strongly reccomend!
