Hand made fresh creole food. Nice people, great food. Will be back to try other stuff! Today I tried the jumbolaya poutine and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Was great
We ordered catfish Po boys, cornbread, bacon Brussels sprouts, hush puppies, crawdad popcorn, mac and cheese, gumbo, fries and beignets. Everything was absolutely delicious and in generous portions. What impressed me the most was definitely the Po boy, it was heaped with catfish, slaw, tomato and pickles. You definitely won't be disappointed, and being able to order ahead online was super convenient. I was going to end there however the beignets are almost frighteningly good. Go order some now and eat them hot!
Pretty good food and portions. Ordered the “3 meats with 2 sides” combo, for only $40, I am pretty sure the portion should be enough for 3 persons. Chicken thighs, beef and pork are all good. I highly recommended it.
My first time trying Creole food. The brisket was a generous portion, brussels sprouts and bacon were amazing and the perfect texture, with a hint of sweetness, the coleslaw had dill which is a nice touch because I love dill, it set the slaw apart. The gumbo was delicious, I could definitely taste the roux and the smoked chicken and sausage were great, just a small piece of shrimp in it and it was quite oily on top, overall amazing though. The macaroni was astounding and cheesy, without too much gratin as some places do. The catfish po boy was good, but the flavours seemed underwhelming compared to the bold punches from the other dishes I had, I am used to a crunchy, spicy, rich, and herby banh mi, the po boy seemed rather uniform in taste and texture, aside from the delicious catfish, and the bun was soft and just so-so. It was my first ever po boy so I'm not sure how they are usually served. The service was great and I will definitely be back to sample more of the tantalizing menu. Great job and it's great to have this food in Stratford, at a reasonable price too!
Was in Stratford this past Sunday and spotted this little smokey gem so thought, we should stop in. We decided to order the Mac n Cheese for 2 with pulled pork. It was fabulous! So delicious, the texture and flavours were excellent. We loved it, we definitely will return to try other items. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Great quality food! Got the Jambalaya Poutine, with a rack of ribs and Pulled Pork sandwich. Everything was delicious, large portions to!
Got the Cajun fried chicken sandwich and crispy cornbread- the chicken was seasoned perfectly, served on a soft baguette with homemade pickles, coleslaw and a secret house sauce: genuinely the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten at a very good price. Portions are generous, staff are friendly and location is convenient. 10/10 recommend!
Delicious food, crispy fries, onion rings and tater tots. Love the pulled pork on a grilled cheese !
The sweet potato fries and Brussels sprout are fantastic. The pulled pork and brisket which is shredded vs sliced which is different is about average. The ribs are the driest/toughest/most flavourless I have ever eaten in my entire life. I also hate that the menu doesn't say that everything comes drowned in super nauseous sweet sauces including the brussels and we had to throw away some of the food as it was just way too much. Went back the next day and got everything without sauce and it was better but nothing spectacular.
We loved the comfort food here. The brisket is fatty and very well cooked, truly delicious and the fresh almost mashed coleslaw with dill is different than any other we have ever tried, and the Caesar salad very good too! The minus: The order of chicken wings has 3 chicken wings, which seems too small for the cost and the Brussels sprouts, although they have lots on bacon, we think they also add some sort of sugar, too sweet for our taste. Truly well prepared food and fresh.
