A must see piece of Canadian history! Step back in time... to appreciate the life and experiences of the settlers who came before us... You can easily spend half a day here just exploring... so much to see. Especially enjoyable on days where they are hosting an art show or local event.

Wasn't yet open, but staff were there getting ready for the upcoming season and they were super friendly; they even offered to open up the buildings to see inside. Well kept grounds and buildings.

We were looking forward to the Festival of Trees and live over an hour away. I called in advance to see if we could bring our dog as we are always looking for activities that we can do with the whole family. I was told yes dogs are welcome but we must clean up after him and there isn't much space in the buildings (although the woman confirmed that dogs ARE allowed in the buildings). When we got there I was livid to find out that the dog was not allowed in the buildings. This would have been fine but we would have left our pet at home. The employees really need to make sure they all have the correct information. We will not be visiting again.

Great fun for the family! We enjoyed all of the great old buildings. Gave you a good feel for life a while back. Always nice to see Santa and have a hot dog.
