This place is pretty authentically Russian. They have honey cake! And a variety of piroshki. They also have olivye, carrot salad, and eggplant salad in a cold case. A great spot for classic Russian staples. I tried the Nutella cake, spartak cake, and a couple macarons. The cakes were especially good. The layers on the spartak were flawless, and it wasn't too sweet, which is the best thing about non-american cakes. The Nutella cake was delicious and complex. The macarons were decent, shells a tiny bit hollowed but not too badly. Macs from the case are going to be hardened because they're chilled. This will make them too crunchy on the outside and hard on the inside. Let them sit at room temp for 20 mins or so and that all corrects itself. If you eat them right away, you probably will think they're not very good. I've been looking for a good bakery in Everett and I have not been impressed...until I found Katya's! New favorite. Next time I want to try their savory dishes, particularly the pelmeni and piroshki.
Love the bakery from this place, not too sweet and very delicate. The price is really reasonable as well, perfect gifts for visiting friends and family!
Absolutely a great place. I often stop by for my regular Borscht soup, stuffed cabbage or coffee with pastry.
The honey cake is the best I’ve had on the west coast! Their chicken cutlet patties are super tasty and moist! The chebureki is soo dang good, have them heat it up for you, I barely make it to my car before I finish it off! Their carrot and eggplant salads are very flavorful and will last awhile in your fridge.
Tried this place for the first time today. Wish I'd known it was down the street from me all this time. The salmon pirozhki was amazing and the sweets were a great dessert, not overly sweet but just right so that you can taste all the flavor. Can't wait to try the pellmeni or the borscht!
Good fresh authentic Ukrainian food. Very reasonable prices.
The best bakery in the area. Fresh and delicious food. Recommended! Very kind and very friendly owner. Thank you. We are waiting for you in our pizza store "Bite of New York" in Mukilteo too.
Katya's is awesome. The cakes, pastries and cookies are both beautiful and very tasty at the same time no too rich/sweet. I love the borscht soup, holubtsi, pirozhik and the pretzel dogs for food items.
This place is great. I placed a rather large order for pickup on very short notice and they took care of it no problem. The honey cake is to die for. Get it, you want be sorry.
Awesome local European cafe! The food and drinks here are to die for. My go to is an Italian sodared bull with peach and a splash of cream and one of their piroshkithe meat one is my favorite. So glad it's close to my house so I can run here on lunch!
