Story

Katy's has a full service coffee bar serving everything from a regular cup to all of your espresso drink needs. For breakfast we offer your traditional plated breakfast, breakfast sandwiches & burritos as well as other options to please our customers needs. For lunch we serve an array of paninis, wraps & salads. Katy's can satisfy your ice cream & milkshake needs with vanilla/chocolate and twist soft serve flavors as well as seven hard ice cream flavors. New to the cafe is Katy's Cake Creations, a custom cake design business. We specialize in weddings, baby & bridal showers, birthdays and more. Come in and order your custom cake today!

THE VISION

Katy’s Café opened approximately a few years ago and has been a neighborhood sensation ever since. After being in the food and beverage industry for the past 16 years, Herbach said, “Thanks to an idea from my soon-to-be sister-in-law, I’m finally living one of my lifelong dreams of owning a restaurant. I’m very humbled by this place.”
Offering everything from designer coffees to hot sandwiches and comfy couches, Katy’s Café brings a sense of warmth and ease upon entrance. The walls are graced with local artwork, an inspiration that came to Herbach from her dear friend and loyal patron, Bob McCarthy.
“My original vision for the interior was very chalet-like, with black and white ski photos. However, I realized that the current concept sort of created itself and I like it much better. I take a lot from what my customers think and everyone loves coming in to see the artwork, starting at one end of the building and working their way to the other. I’m honored to have this for our local artists,” Herbach said.
According to many customers, including McCarthy, “Every morning is a high-energy gathering - a rally, so to speak. For many, our mornings spent here carry us through the day,” he said. “With Katy taking on this place, it has just gone through a metamorphosis.”
