We came from London and visited for the first time. We had the Alaskan Pollock. It was very good. Crispy and tasty. Fries were great too, homemade. Very good value. I agree with some of the reviews that this a mom / pop type place. If you not used to that I can see why some would comment on the out dated decor and yes, not fresh clean in general. Kathy the owner/server is wonderful and if in Strathroy again we will pop in again for sure!
I want to love this place, I really do. I have a high tolerance for run down diners and third world street food, but the condition of the kitchen is past my tolerance level. The lady is wonderful, the food is not bad considering where it comes out of, but I just can’t ever eat there again after seeing the kitchen and the extremely low standard of cleanliness. It’s just unacceptable. I think retirement is in order.
Loved the breakfast, the lady running the diner is fantastic and very pleasant. I will definitely return. Wheelchair accessibility: Door is ground level.
Kathy is true to her word. Great food at a great price with country hospitality. New to the area, but she has become my go to place for breakfast.
Food was great and cheap, however the restaurant was not very clean. Parking: Lots of parking nearby.
Pulled so many hairs out if my food . Never ate just tossed it away. NEVER will go back. Was a take out order. Place is absolutely disgusting.

Oh boy - we ordered but could not eat it. The more I looked around the more uncomfortable I became with the extremely low standard of cleanliness. A trip to the bathroom was frightening. Yes, the service was pleasant, fast & friendly but the entire place too far gone in my opinion to be considered safe healthly food enviroment.
Kathy's country kitchen is very affordable. It's fast service. It's good food. Kathy is a very kind sweet person. For those keen on trying. Please do. It's a very cute small city kitchen that I enjoy. Be sure to gaze at the photos and posters she has on her walls. It's charming.
