Story

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal is sometimes referred to as the Florence of Asia because of its many treasures. The valley is surrounded by chains of mountains and seems like one big museum with a storehouse of arts, temples and shrines. The city itself has over 2000 temples & shrines.

King Gunakamadeva founded Kathmandu in the 10th century. The name Kathmandu was derived from a temple within the city called Kasthamandap, built in the same century. Kathmandu has become the Gateway to many tourists from all around the world. Kathmandu sometimes is also known as Kantipur.

Here at Kathmandu Restaurant, we have aspired to bring to your table a menu that reflects its unique Nepalese culture and culinary specialties of Nepal, the Florence of Asia.

Good food, good ambience okay customer service. Expensive food if you consider the portion size. Unlike other Indian places, this restaurant has small servings and more or equal price rate

The food was good and the server was very friendly. It is a bit pricey but still comparable to other restaurants of this calibre. It is pretty comparable to Kothur on Yonge street just with a nicer dining atmosphere.

Previously I mistakenly wrote a bad review for Kathmandu, it was ment for some other restaurant. I am sorry for that. Once i visited kathmandu and had the lunch buffet. The mutton curry was delicious also chiken items were good. I would really like to go again for that mutton curry. The veg items were ok.

Food was delicious adn authentically north indian, but definitly not the traditional nepali food i believe. Regardless of the fact, the food was just too good. They deserve a 5 star no doubt. Just that their customer service could have been a little better. Momo's were perfectly cooked and just the right taste. Indian food lovers, head no were but here. It definitely is one of the best to grab an indian meal in Toronto!

Waste food. The taste is absolutely bad. I will never make this blunder again... Ice cream was too old.. the chicken and mutton are taste sour. Tandoor has no taste. Salad combination is very bad and when we asked for separate bill they combined it together and charged service charges extra. Pathetic service and food. Don't go here.
