Absolutely charming place! We were greeted warmly at the door and seated promptly. Great bottomless coffee came right away. Classic diner style menu, but we were there for breakfast. Eggs any style, homemade sausage, thick cut peameal bacon, pancakes, French toast, shredded potato hash browns, and homemade bread. Delicious! The shop attached was filled with lovely things, from homemade soap and candles to local woodcraft, knitted scarves, jams, jellies and flours. Local food products like sausages and cheese were in a large fridge/freezer. And oh! the bakery - breads and sweet treats that are divine! Reasonably priced. Lots of parking and turn around space for truckers and RVs. Staff are efficient and super friendly.
Friendly staff who clearly enjoy working with one another. Cute, country kitchen environment with a lovely shop where you can buy food to take home as well as handmade and other goods. My lunch was so yummy... Cream of Tomato soup, Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with fresh local bakery made bread, and dutch apple pie with ice cream. Worth the trip!!!
Best BLT & soup ever. Price is reasonable; the country store is very cute and has lots of local made products while you wait for food
Awesome folks and great food. Great stock of local crafts fresh baked goods.
Good food like the atmosphere of the place definitely will come back again
Considered by locals as one of the best roadside restaurant, it's located in the outskirts of Sudbury right on the Trans Canada highway. Great appearance, huge parking lot, quick service, great choices in the menu, large plates, and quite affordable.
This place is amazing!!! The food is absolutely delicious. There is a little boutique with local handmade goods. It is very well designed and built. The restaurant has a ton of character and is very clean. The staff is very charismatic and all together a great environment. It's worth the trip to go here. Parking: The parking lot is massive and can easily accommodate any traveller's including one's with trailers or boats. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is ground level and there is a seperate handicap bathroom.
What a cute place! I bought a nice hand made, locally made item to give as a Christmas gift. Bought an apple crumble pie to go and it is delicious! Friendly staff, comfortable place to shop in. I didn't have sit down meal but that pie is fantastic so I'm guessing the restaurant food is probably great too. Will definitely go back to buy more of the locally made items and desserts.
Great homestyle food, good service and friendly staff. They were pretty busy when we came in late for take out and it still didn't take too long for the food to come out. The attached store has some nice local finds and the regular stuff you'd expect from a corner store also. If you're on 17 and looking for a great place to stop for a meal, give Kate's Kountry Kitchen a shot.
Purchased one hamburger with 2 slices of tomato, I got 1 slice unripe tomato. The Hamburger cost $10.49 without tax. Not impressed. The waitress could not hear our order and we could not hear her because of the noise!!! Everyone was shouting to be heard!!! There are no sound absorbing materials on the floor, walls or ceiling. Other customers around us said the same thing. They said the inside room that can be closed off is even worse and very claustrophobic. Is the tasty food worth the discomfort? Nope. People who have hearing aids would find this challenging. No wonder I saw so many take out orders being picked up. These owners spent a lot of dollars in building a nice restaurant. They should invest in the customer’s comfort to eat in a peaceful surrounding but I guess they want 30 minute and less seatings.
