I've been a big fan of Kashi's sushi for a long time and I'm glad they are back since at least last year. I didn't really eat sushi until I started going to the previous location over 10 years ago. Food is tasty and staff is friendly. My fave is the Tempura Calamari. I miss the conveyor belt but this place is nice too.Food: 5/5
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. It was so refreshing to not have the typical pop radio playing! The agedashi was really crispy & creamy with such a flavorful sauce. The karaage was hot and tasty. The nigiri was on point and I'm a tough critic. We were waiting for them to open on a Friday evening and were the only ones there for a bit. The online orders were pouring in and the wait time was quickly up to an hour for the first walk-ins after us. I was happy they were so busy, but plan accordingly by showing up first or ordering ahead.
Wow wow wow!!! Probably the best sushi I have had in Portland. The service was amazing, our waitress was so kind & made sure we had everything we needed. Not to mention you CANNOT beat the prices. I will definitely be returning here super frequently.
We really enjoyed our dinner here. This place does not look like much from the outside, but the food and value/quality deliver. Fish tasted great and fresh, prices were very reasonable. Service was great too. It is a very small establishment though with limited seating.
It's exactly what you would expect from a standard mom and pop hole in the wall sushi joint; it's basically the Japanese equivalent of a greasy spoon. Decent fish - not the freshest but good - and good sized portions at a decent price. Service was good despite limited English skills and we got our orders quickly. Ambience and decor aren't great unless you're into the grungy run down look, but nothing awful.
Awesome 'hole in the wall' next to a Plaid Pantry. Great food and extremely affordable prices. Love that we can support a local mom and pop restaurant. The place is small so if you don't get there at the right time there is a bit of a wait. But the sushi has always been awesome and all the other options on the menu are great. Our go to sushi restaurant now. Love this place.
Mom and pop sushi joint with chef Kashiwagi! The sushi piece was fresh and huge. Enjoyed the chirashi bowl too. The place is small and old and could be renovated.Food: 5/5
Simple and no frills, delicious menu with a hole in the wall feel! Definitely hits the spot for a yummy sushi meal with very reasonable pricing especially given current inflationRecommended dishesEel Avocado, Speciality Roll
Sushi is still great. We used to eat at Kashi's old restaurant all the time. The building got demolished so they had to find a new space. I'm so happy we found our favorite sushi place again. Good sushi at an affordable price.
The take out here is always amazing. The fish is fresh, the family who runs this place always understands my orders, and friends & family who share the sushi with me always love it. They are super affordable, fresh, and straight forward. Vegetarian options: Egg rolls, avocado rolls, tofu rolls.
