Wonderful restaurant with exquisite and fresh-tasting food. I’ve only been on the rooftop rather than the main restaurant that is inside which has a nice view of Old Yorkville Lane. It’s beautiful at night and I had a wonderful birthday dinner with my dad there. **Sometimes there’s a weird, very unpleasant smell on the rooftop in the summer months… something to do with old wood or something?
Our server was great-food too. Both hostesses were very friendly & personable as well. The only thing was that our water glasses were left empty at times. They should have been filled up without us having to keep asking. It was very hot/humid & we’d finished our cocktails. Details matter. But I decided it’s not going to affect my 5 Star rating. Overall great experience
Good first time experience. Definitely would recommend coming here at least once. I did get a dirty plate and service was as expected, nothing exceptional. They have tamari gluten free soy sauce. Also, I have to mention this separately - each of the cocktails is unique. You have to try them!!
I love Kasa Moto. The ambience is better than the food though! If you go in the summer you may be seated at the roof patio on the second floor, which I love! There’s heaters, dim lighting, and just overall a great atmosphere. If you go during the colder months you’re seated indoors, which feels tighter but still beautiful. Perfect for date nights, tables mind their own business. Food is 4/5!
Snagged a last-minute table for date night and it was totally worth it. The waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was flavourful and very well prepared. The service was prompt for a very busy night. It was a bit too dimly lit for my preference but that does not take away the great experience that it was
The service was very good and the food was delicious. It was a business lunch and we ordered a tasting menu , everything was served was top notch. I recommend visiting this place. Thank you for the great experience.
We couldn’t get in to another restaurant so we decided to eat at Kasa Moto instead. I can’t believe this was our second option - the sushi was probably the best sushi I’ve tried in a long time, and the steak was delicious too. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant had a romantic ambiance to it. It was a perfect place for date night! I’d come back to Toronto again just to eat here. Loved it!
I’ve been here a number of times over the past year and the experience is somewhat inconsistent. Overall, the dishes are a hit or miss. The pork belly and wagyu buns are a must. The new Brussel sprouts dish is also great. None of the fried rice or noodle dishes are very good. I find that the quality of the sushi varies. The experience with the wait staff is inconsistent too. Many of them are attentive, but it seems that recently half are either new or just have bad attitudes. The most recent time I visited was on a weekday when they were not particularly busy. After being seated, we weren’t offered water for over 10 minutes and no wait staff even looked in our direction. It took another 10 minutes for us to order. At one point, 6 servers were just standing around all huddled together discussing something. Maybe there was a situation they were dealing with but the vibe was fairly unprofessional. After this most recent experience, and weighing the inconsistency as a whole, I don’t see myself coming back as often.
I've had Kasa on my restaurant bucklist for quite a while and had high expectations. The food was good with decent portions. I also had a cocktail, which was stronger than I thought. Overall, the experience and food were just good.Food: 4/5
Came with a big group 2 or 3 months ago. Food was great - the big highlight for me was the Misu Black Cod and the 7 oz Wagyu Steak. Must try if you come here! Took a star off because of their online booking issues. There was an option to reserve for outside patio but it was glitched. Despite requesting for it days before, there was no seating avail when we arrived. We had to wait like a whole hour until we got seated.
