Kane County Circuit Clerk Office

Online records links doesn’t work and contacting technical support link doesn’t work. I thought the online website was supposed to make things easier but apparently no one is checking or maintaining the website. This has been like this for weeks now, yet no one notices the website isn’t up to date.

My experience today was fine, lady at the desk was polite and friendly, got my ticket paid and receipt printed in a couple minutes. Police/security in front was polite and directed me to the correct area I knew where to go, but still nice. My first experience was terrible. I owed 140$ for a ticket, and paid by the due date. No one ever told me it would be extra if I didn't pay by the 9am court time. It was only 15$ extra so no big deal, but it would have been nice to know. The teller the first time was so rude and unhelpful I can't believe she's still hired. I walked up to the desk, said I had a ticket to pay, showed her the ticket and started taking out my $140 cash to pay, when she asked if I went to court, I said no, didn't want to contest the charges. She bluntly said well now it's 155$ because you didn't go or pay by the time. And I said alright, well I don't have $155. She explained I had 45 days to pay, which was nice. I asked if the judge had assigned a warrant or anything I was unsure how this process went as I've never had a ticket prior, and the officer who issued the ticket was nice but less than helpful. She looked at me like I was dumb, the classic over-the-glasses "oh honey" face. Jesus. These people hate their jobs although the civil tellers seemed nicer. Really hope I never have to return to this place, on par with the mediocrity of the Aurora DMV. If I get a bill for 35$ in the mail I will rain hell.

Have had to deal with them twice now once for my own ticket and once for a court summon. My experience with the judge has been positive, but everyone else has been extremely rude and combative for no good reason. They seem less interested in actual justice and more interested in just taking money from people and waving their authority. This is probably the case with most courthouses, but I believe we should expect better than that from our justice system.

I went to get papers to file a claim. Parking was easy and security moved smoothly. Once I got to the clerk she answered my questions and gave me the papers I needed. I wouldn't say she was overly friendly, but she was not rude, just there doing her job. Later I had a question and since there is no phone numbers to call I emailed my question. I received a response from Diane, within 24 hours, not only had she answered my question thoroughly, but she also offered to connect me to the person who could help me. Overall I think they offer very good service, parking is great have you ever been to DuPage??, the security guard was friendly and waiting times are reasonable for they type of business being handled.

Not sure why people are saying mean things about staff. I have dealt with this location for several years amd have yet to complain. I would say the attitude I came in with attributed to the attitude I was given. I have had bad experiences with staff but only because I came in anxious or in a rush expecting them to know why I was there. My fault. Only 4 stars because nothing is perfect... Keep up the good work!

I moved to a new apartment, the police have been callled so many times. No one would help or do anything except: the 16th judical circuit in kane county. The judge was so nice; kind and actually listened! All the employees that work in that circuit restraining orders, to those who help to make sure WE are safe i thank each and everyone of you. YOU make a difference, and to those who helped me: i cannot begin to thank you. You did more for me than i can even express in words.

Not sure why this is mostly negative. I went in at 11:50 and came back out at 12:15. Very quick on a Monday. People were very nice too. Including the guards. Ask for Donna. She's the plug.

Had to go in for a minor speeding ticket. The staff, judge, and lawyers were polite and helpful. They suggested court supervision before I even had a chance to request it. As long as you don't wear pajamas, be respectful, you should receive the best service possible. The only thing I will say is their court proceedings were quite different than any other I've participated in. Perhaps it was because of the magnitude of the people in attendance, but it seemed slightly disorganized. Only slightly though. Oh, and if the judge says turn your phone off and put it away, just listen to him. Saw someone get thrown out for refusing to get off their phone. Some people are just anarchists I guess...

I don’t know why people are saying staff is rude. I am trying to get my name changed and don’t know a lot about forms and requirements and how to preform the paperwork. All the people I have talked to help me nicely and answered all my questions. They have helped me so much through this process. Courtney has made my life so much easier with all this legal stuff.

Wow! This Court House Rulez : My first court hearing for traffic violation & I should have not read the reviews which honestly affected me before the court-date. So I over prepared, e.g. writing my statements etc... The only thing I don't like, everyone's time were 830am, why can't they just say at the start that itz going to be first-in, first out.. . Not much a hassle though! The entire courthouse was so welcoming... Then Judge LoPicollo is very organized & detailed, never missed a point... A shout-out to Atty. Bulsjeta for the sweet deal & Katherine at the clerks front desk ---> You're all awesome. Hear them, you know what you have done & accept that to minimum, that will surely make your visit here as swift as mine :
