Went for dine in and it was our first time experience. It’s a huge space with nice lighting and ambience is ok.. probably they were short staffed hence no one to greet or guide us to the table. You must wait in line to place the order first and then pick up your order once it’s ready. We place one chicken chapalli kebab and one KLC Kandahar kabab special with side of naan bread. Overall order took 15 mins and the food was delicious, full of flavour and the portion size was also great. Only feedbacks is that they didn’t provide the proper silverware, the plastic fork and knife were difficult to use and once the food was finished we had to clean up the entire table and put the plates next to the counter which was already overflowing with the used plates.
Ordered qabuli palau, kofta kebab rice, and lamb chops for lunch cost a little over $100 and the rice were all the same-undercooked and bland. The meat is overcooked. What's worst is the qabuli palau, WHICH DOESN'T HAVE ANY MEAT it doesn't make any sense just undercooked rice, overcooked carrots and raisins.They use the same rice for all my order and just added carrots and raisins for the qabuli. Shame on this restaurant for calling themselves an Afghani restaurant if they don't even know what's a qabuli palau.nnWOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If I can rate them 0, I would. Not aunthentic at all and a waste of money. KANDAHAR KABAB IS THE WORST!
First of all, I do not know how and why this place received a 3.4 overall rating. In my opinion, it should be at least 4.8/4.9 if not near perfect! We went there last weekend with our 2 girls and believe me, they are picky eaters and very hard to impress. The food was amazing and wait time was only 10 mins. Our go to item is 'Sultani kebab' dinner plate with mango shake. A++. Will go there again and will highly recommend to family and friends.
Picked up dinner here and they had put all the heavy items in a wet paper bag so the bottom completely ripped open and half my order fell on the ground. They seriously need to pack things better.nnFood was average, their Scarborough location is much better. The chicken items were pretty good and rice flavourful but the Beef Chapli was dry and the mantu wrapper was hard and dry. Salad is like a coleslaw mix.
Food was amazing always fresh and hot. This spot is authentic flavour and spices the people are very friendly. Service is very good I highly recommend.
